What Class Has The Most Visually Obvious Rotation Reset?

Ebonslayer21
I made this discussion on the subreddit, but they were... less than helpful, so I'll post it here and see if anyone can be actually useful.

I'm not good at counting spammables, nor do I like the idea of a million and one duration icons on the center of my screen to tell me when to do everything again. One thing that I've found works for me is very obvious visual effects (nearing the realm of intrusive) disappearing. What class is best in regards to this?

1 bar rotations won't solve this issue, if you were thinking of that. Neither will the duration indicator on the bar.

    Stamina Warden.

    1. Most of your DOTs have a 20 second duration.
    2. You have some choices of spammables. If you go with a bleed build, Bloodthirst is a great choice (cliff racer can be used as just a dot). If not, Cliff Racer or Wrecking Blow are the spammable choices.
    3. Any DOT that lasts 10 seconds has a nice que. You should always use Deep Fissure. It gives major and minor breach, which is great, and it's proc is good visual que.

So your 10 second dots need to be refreshed every time Deep Fissure blows up for the second time of its initial casting. All your other DOTs, which is most of them, need to be recast at the end of every second Deep Fissure cast.

I see. Would all the 20 second skills be on the backbar, with everything else on the frontbar? If so I could see it working nicely, I'm not terribly adapted to "every two rotations" styles but I know I can manage them.

Yeah. You put Cliff Racer and Deep Fissure on your front bar with your spammable. Double bar stamina bear ult, double bar Bird of Prey for the passive. Your backbar can be something like Growing Swarm (or fletcher infection, which is better if not bleed build), Trap. Depending on your playstyle, you can change it up a bit with two-handed weapon or dual wield. I do a bleed build, so my front bar uses Trap for the extra damage, and my back bar uses Carve and Stampede, along with the 2-handed execute. But you can change it up by getting the blackrose prison daggers and using Deadly Cloak on your backbar instead. It's pretty open ended, but not hard to follow imo.

Okay. So I'm theorizing a build with 2H + DW, using these abilities for each bar.

Barbed Trap, Cutting Dive, Bird of Prey, Deep Fissure, Wrecking Blow, Wild Guardian
Bull Netch, Deadly Cloak, Bird of Prey, Fetcher Infection, Blood Craze, Wild Guardian

Any thoughts? Advice beyond the skills would also be nice, I haven't played in a few years at this point so ideas for sets and such are appreciated.

Most people would suggest using a 5-piece Pillar of Nirn, found in Falkreath dungeon, and 5-piece Arms of Relequen, found in the Cloudrest trial. If you have them, I do recommend them. Nirn definitely, since it's not hard to farm. Relequen, if you don't have it, can be replaced with other sets. With your setup, you could use do a bleed build as well, and use Blooddrinker, found in Blood Root Forge dungeon. You can also use some decent crafted sets, like Order's Wrath or Diamond's Victory. The Kilt mythic is a good choice if you're confident in not taking any damage, and Mora's Whispers is good if you don't want to use a monster helm set, so long as you've filled most of Shalidor's library. If you use one of those mythics, one piece of Slimecraw monster helm will fill out your armor. Zaan and Kjalnar's are good monster helm sets if you're not using a mythic.

On your dual wield, I recommend your main hand being a Nirnhoned Dagger, and your offhand being a Charged Dagger. Poison and Fire damage enchantments on them.

If I'm going with Mora's Whispers, should Slimecraw also be light armor or stick with medium?

I'd stick to medium for any other pieces, since it'll help with sustain.

You might enjoy Sorcerer. They rely less on DoTs than other classes. You'll still want Hurricane, Barbed Trap and one weapon AoE DoT like Endless Hail, Blockade of Fire or Deadly Cloak, but these skills can be cast back bar once every 20s. Hurricane makes a great timer because it has an obvious visual effect on your character. Beyond that Sorcerer uses pets for passive damage, many spammables, and semi-spammables like Crystal Fragments and Bound Armaments. Daedric Prey is also good, but the 6s timer can be tricky. Mage's Wrath was recently buffed to be a decent AoE execute.

I'd say Sorcerer or Templar are better options, when it comes to visuals giving you rotation hints.

Templar because of Power of the Light's green aura and all the ground DoTs having quite unique animations. For example, Ritual is so large, you will always see it (or rather see it isn't there) even if the fight is hectic. Same goes for Blazing Spear and Solar Barrage.

But @WrathOfInnos is correct, the one giving the best visual hints is the Sorcerer. Even the frag proc is purple instead of the normal bluish colour.
Add that to having to juggle only 6 abilities instead of ten, Sorcerer is the easiest to play class.

If anyone here says: OH! But, PVP! I swear I'll ...

Thank you for the valuable input and respectfully recommend to discuss that aspect of ESO on the PVP forum.

If i understand correctly, you need a ground/self DoT skill, with animation that would be visible from another galaxy. There's not much to choose from, actually.

Sorc with Hurricane or Templar with Solar Barrage or Ritual.

The aforementioned subreddit did bring up the idea of using Elemental Blockade. Liquid Lightning could also work and, yeah, Blazing Spear. I'll have to consider Sorc and Temp certainly. Thanks!

With @Zodiarkslayer. Templar has one of the easiest rotations and the visual cues to know when to repeat. Sorc is pretty close, but would recommend having your skills bar up full time with back bar timers on.
