I think if they could attack you on their way back to their spawn it'd make for a far worse experience. Trains in other MMOs are a common way of griefing, about the only instance of trains being possible in ESO are in trials or if someone manages to pull an IC boss on you.

A ball group is also a form of train, I suppose.

No where in my post did I mention PVP. I am talking about players running straight to the bosses and giving all of the trash mob chase. When the trash mob returns to starting point, you cannot attack them, but when they reset, they reset on top of you. The player who gave them chase gets what they came for, and screws over the player behind them in two ways. First by the trash mob resetting on top of you and second by forcing you to wait for the boss to respawn. I personally fight my way into the boss and fight my way out. I don't run from trouble. I take it head on.

You cannot attack them or defend yourself until they reset
    1) they can't attack you, they just run to base position, nothing else
    2) even if they can attack you, why you cannot defend yourself? Healing skills stop working?

Even if a player isn't rushing and pulling mobs, you'll still have to wait for the boss to respawn if they kill it first.

Heck, if the player is killing the mobs ahead of you, you'll be running through an empty delve or waiting around for mobs to respawn.

This is just all part and parcel of playing a multiplayer online game where Delves and Public Dungeons aren't instanced, so I suggest you get used to not being alone in the game world.

So players doing dolmens in an open world mmo is an issue, now players doing dungeons and delves is an issue in an mmo? Sure there are some annoying things players do, but asking zos to stop people playing their own way...? :|

They are not killing the mobs. The point when way over your head. They are giving chase straight towards the bosses. I can empty every dolmen and public dungeon if I chose to. Every time I make a post about poor gaming etiquette for players in ESO, people who live in the forums come out of the woodwork in an attempt to make me look like the problem. I know this game and I love this game. Nobody wants to a trash mob dropping on their head. I can fight my way in and my way out and I love doing it. What I don't like is waiting for the mob to get back to their starting positions so I CAN attack them, because some other players were too lazy to kill them themselves.

They can and will attack if they're accidently damaged by an AoE attack while they haven't reached their maximum distance.

They'll also pull sneaking players out of stealth, which is extremely annoying if you don't want to fight.

Ideally we should be able to choose whether we want a private instance or the public one.
I love to sneak through delves/public dungeons and avoid fights along the way, sadly it's more often than not ruined by someone rushing past with a train of mobs in pursuit.

I would love to run through delves and public dungeons all by myself without worrying about other players. A PVE Imperial City would be amazing as well. I like the quests. What got me loving Elder Scrolls games are the quests. Sometimes, other players can get in the way of enjoying certain quests. And, I probably have got in the way of other players enjoying their quests.

Sneaking through delves though. I do that in Cyrodill, to make sure I don't get killed when I am talking to a quest giver in Bruma or something.

There are 2200+ quests in ESO. It's like completing Skyrim eight times, including all sides. Desire to do quests in ESO isn't lost after such news? :) If not, then forget about delve speedrunners, enjoy the plot and stories.

between this thread and your other one, it sounds like you're looking for a single player game.

I understood your point that players were training mobs and pulling them out of position until they reset on you.

I was addressing the other point you made and have since deleted about having to wait for the boss to respawn by pointing out that even if another player is playing normally with good etiquette, you could easily find yourself in an empty delve waiting for mobs to respawn and you can very easily find yourselves waiting for the boss to respawn just because they got there before you did.

If you meant them to be the same point, then I misunderstood. I read the aggravation about being made to wait for the boss respawn as a seperate issue, since it can happen regardless of whether the first player is training mobs or not.
