Getting nowhere with ESO Support. Help!

Hi,

I'm posting this here in the hope of some further advice related to my ESO account, which has the Xbox version of the game linked to it. I will explain in the best way I can.

So, yesterday, I purchased ESO on the Xbox Series X. Once the game was downloaded, I tried to link this to my ESO account (which also has the PC linked to it) only to find I was unable to link to the Xbox Series X version of the game because a copy of the Xbox version of ESO is still linked from 2017. Back then, I did play this version, BUT with a former Xbox gamertag. I have since changed my Xbox game tag. The game gave me the option of setting up a new account. Which is something I didn't want to do.

I then decided to submit a ticket to the support team. The first reply came back saying I needed to login and relink the Xbox version which is tied to my account. I've explained I'm unable to do this because I no longer have access to that Xbox gamertag and won't be able to do that. The replies keep coming back with the same copy/paste content with different agents. I'm getting nowhere with this.

Is there anything else I can try? Like I've said above. The Xbox version of ESO currently linked to my account was added under a different gamertag. I can't do anything about this. All I wish to do is remove the Xbox version of ESO from my account and add the new Xbox Series X version to my account.

This is the version I wish to remove/unlink from my account.

Thanks

Sorry you're having to go thru this hassle, support can sometimes be very frustrating. Especially when it seems there are no historical notes that they've read or the previous rep didn't type out anything for other agents to read.

I have seen in the past if you share your ticket number with @ZOS_Kevin he may offer to cast his Enlightenment spell on Support ;)

It might be worth talking to Microsoft Support, maybe they can replace the discarded gamertage on your old account with your current tag.

After some research. It appears this isn't an option. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Since there is no Cross Platform Sharing in this game. At all. There is no real need to have all your ESO games on one Account. There is some convenience, but with the potential of buying Crowns/Content for the wrong account, I think it is worth it.

Why don't you just set up a new account? Start fresh and you won't have to clear out the cobwebs.

You just need to have a different email address. If you use GMAIL, that can be done with a + youremail+alt@gmail.com or use a company like GMX if you don't already have an alias email.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.
