I would like to be able to port FROM my house and not have to pay a gold fee for doing so.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

The Gold fee *with champion points* for teleporting in this game is very low.

If you cant afford the low fee most have 2 legs to walk with lol JK!

i just port to outside a house thats next to a wayshrine if i really want to be cheap and avoid the cost

there are several houses that are really close to wayshrines, such as the snugpod in grahtwood (IMO one of the absolutely best value houses, it costs 60k and will easily save you that much in port fees within a year lol)

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (fully filled out with current game), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

in progress: acquiring mundus stones (currently only have the thief)

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

Sugar Bowl Suite in Rimmen is perfect for porting to outside it and very close to the wayshrine

Two excellent choices. The inns in Daggerfall and Vulkhel Guard are also pretty handy for that, despite needing to leave the inn to reach the wayshrine. The free house we got in Malabal Tor is also close by a wayshrine. And the house in Rawl'kha isn't very far from a wayshrine, plus it's conveniently close to an Outlaws Refuge. But perhaps my favorite is the house up at the northernmost tip of Bangkorai; the wayshrine might not be any closer than, say, the one in Vulkhel Guard, but it just seems like it's practically on your doorstep.

Maybe download and use Easy Travel or Beammeup, both of which give you plenty of options, worst case you tow hop, first hop to someplace always populated like Vvardenfell or Stormhaven then port to wherever you want to go.

I have plenty of gold but this is now ingrained in me and I now do it by habit.

If you're part of a fairly active guild with a decent number of online players (or have friends online), you can open those lists ('G' and 'O' buttons respectively for PC) and port to any of them and it will take you to the wayshrine closest to them without costing any gold, you can then use that wayshrine to port to wherever you want to go.

This was how I did it for the longest time and still port around this way whenever I go clear my bank/inventory of treasure maps/surveys, especially with how far some of them are from any wayshrine (looks at murkmire/shadowfen maps...).

As a whole ESO needs a lot more gold sinks as there's much more gold entering the market than leaving it, just from an account doing daily writs everyday you can get over 100k+ gold. That is one of the biggest reasons why PC has so much more inflation than consoles, if it was me managing the in game economy I'd keep teleportation fees at max and get rid of free teleportation(you'd still be able to port to friends but there would be a fee), I'd also get rid of repair kits entirely and just have repairs cost gold.

With the cp, the cost of fast travel is less than the standard quest reward.... just pay up its basicly free...

Cyrodillic Jungle House. Immediately next to a way shrine. Possibly the closest in the game.

Honestly, I'd like an option to leave my house and appear where I teleported to my house, but honestly, gold is so abundant in this game it's a non issue.

That house is also near Rolis Hlaalu (Master Writ turn-in) and the Undaunted Enclave so it's a great investment.
