Ball Group auto synergy

For those who are not aware majority of hall groups run a 3rd party add-on to automatically hit synergies when they are available. Is this not against ZOS terms of agreement. As it stands now ball groups have ruined PvP in all aspects of PVP. ZOS needs another purge of hackers and cheats

ZOS should disable add-ons in PvP completely, as that is the only way to create a fair gameplay environment for everyone in PvP.

This week I have noticed players auto-using synergies in PvE as well. Which kinda sucks as I use those to replenish resources as well. One of the many many reasons why I am completely against add-ons everywhere. As they only serve to create an unfair environment, both in PvP and PvE.

PS: Why aren't our skills, CP, and synergies more MMO friendly. "The group gets..." "when helped kill gain ..." All the bonusses are single player, while the game is an MMO. At the moment we players annoy/hinder eachother to get our bonusses, instead of seeing other players as helpful.

Do you have proof they are using an addon or third party program to do it?

You can set the bind for synergies to a scroll wheel and spin it which will cause the synergy to activate when it pops up if it's spinning still.

With the way gaming keyboards and mouses are made, anyone can create a toggle to continually hit the same key over and over. Synergies being off the global cooldown means it won’t interfere with your normal rotation or skills. What gets me is that there is “synergy prevention “ in the RDK Addon, which allows you to select every synergy you don’t want to interact with, leaving just the one or two you wish to use. Anyone not using this Addon must visually look and decide whether to interact. RDK users don’t. So it does question whether this violates policy as an Addon is doing something automatically for the player.

But then again, the Lazy writ Addon will create all 3 clothing gear with the push of one button, making it considerably faster than a player who uses their own vision and hand movement.

2017-2019 I used to raid and some people in my raid groups did use an addon or a setting in one to automatically hit synergies. A tank in one of my groups used to get really annoyed because it was back when tanks ran alkosh.

Not sure which addon it was or if it's still around or if the PVP groups are using it, but it definitely was around in the past.

In which case, proof needs to be sent directly and privately to ZOS via reports.

It's impossible to substantiate a claim that the "majority" of ball groups are cheating this way, especially when two-thirds of platforms don't have access to add-ons at all.

This sounds like someone who has never played in a ball group, for a couple clear reasons.

I set my synergy toggle to my scroll wheel, and I spin when I can get the most "oomp", as every competent ball group does. NOT ON COOLDOWN, which is what would happen if you had an addon to automatically take all synergies. If you set it to auto take synergies, you would take purges from trolls, you would take random synergies at awful times, leaving you unable to pop people in damage dumps, take healing synergies when not taking damage and be on cooldown when you need it... etc etc etc. An auto-take of synergies is a BAD idea for ball groups.

This is almost laughable. If someone is using something like that, then you now know how to kill them.

That’s true, but doing writs is a single player activity and doesn’t impact any game play in groups or any combat situation.

That’s true, but doing writs is a single player activity and doesn’t impact any game play in groups or any combat situation.

Not in combat situations. But it sure impacts game play. Being able to speed through crafting because an addon is doing multiple clicks for you saves time and enables more gold per minute. It's basically a macro.

I read the community rules and didn’t read anything about where my opinion is wrong or calling anyone out in a derogatory manner. It was a discussion I had with someone in game about people using an addon that automatically hit synergies. It’s a discussion of an exploit in the game.
Yes you can use RDK for the synergies but you as a person still have to interact with you mouse or keyboard, the human error is still in play or the global cooldown on synergies.

The “majority” of players in cyrodiil have no idea how ball groups work, yet like to offer bold fact statements with no proof other than “someone told me.”

As zyva explained above, an auto synergy add on or macro would be pointless — ball group damage output would literally decrease. No competent group would tolerate this level of waste with valuable synergy cooldowns lol.

That's how we did it.

However, if such an add on exists and ZOS doesn't like how it's used, ZOS controls the API. It's simple enough for them to change the API just like they did for other add-ons like Miat's.
