-spawning location. as in the furnishing "welcome mat" (?) from Fallout 4, which allowed player control over where you spawn into the player home.

    1. Interactable Skyshard Light. It's already in the game, have it that you can turn on/off the light beam.
    2. Cube blocks of water. It's not easy designing pools or ponds outside of areas where water doesn't exist.
    3. Transparent/Opaque walls. One side is see-through, the other side is not.
    4. Outgoing only Wayshrine. I think its doable, the Earthforge Wayshrine is only outgoing for example.
    5. Portal doors. You step through it and come out somewhere else inside the home. Unreal Tournament 1 had these.
    6. Raise/Lower Platforms. Interact to raise/lower a platform vertically. Like the recent Clockwork door at Luxury Furnishing.

For houses that have more than one entrance, just being able to select which is the “teleport” one would be a good first step.

Or even better, for houses with more than 1 zone (e.g. Hall of the Lunar Champion), being able to select which zone to enter from the Housing menu.
Actually, I just realised we may be talking about the same thing... sorry about that!

Not quite. Or maybe. It would be nice to pick zone in the same way you currently pick inside or outside. You would just have more inside options. That is a stage further than setting which one is the inside default.

HotLC makes you enter via the central hall, and then pick a zone after. Skipping that visit to the central hall would be a QOL bonus.

I was talking about places like Sleek Creek, which has two doors to the outside. You can enter either one directly, but travel directly to the inside always lands you inside the one nearest the Outlaw Refuge. Other houses have three, such as Gardner House, where it might be preferable to make visitors arrive at the courtyard entrance, instead of inside the building.

We still badly need different roofs, more sofas, more bathtubs, pools, more see-through windows, harvestable plant beds...

Would love some Mannequins that you can equip with armor styles, display cases, weapon racks, and wall mounts that can be filled with weapon styles.

Hard mode trophies from Veteran Trials made into Furnishings while still retaining their value.

Spawn location would be my #1 as well. I made a house in Grand Psijic Villa off on the water, and I'd like to spawn in front of it.

I think all that has been mentioned are great ideas. I agree 100% that we should be able to determine the spawn location inside of home. I would also add the following
More building materials (ie 2x4s, 2x6s, 4x4s, roofs of varying styles, scaffolding)
All rocks, boulders etc. that actually match what is currently in homes.
All rocks boulders etc. in the same style of all currently available (take “Boulder, Granite Cap” motif and apply it to “Boulder, Lunar Crag” or “Boulder, Volcanic Column” shapes).
    Ladders that actually function
Human Skeletal parts similar to the parts you can get from Clockwork dlc
Skeletal chandelier, lectern and/or chairs seen in-game. (I don’t know how to post a picture or I would just post images for examples)
Logs as building materials with cutouts. (Think Lincoln Logs)
