It's always been this way in ES games. (those that had it) I don't mind if there is an option for YOU not to see it. But if i see you in Cyrodiil and you're wearing bound armour, i want to be able to see that.

i havent pvped allot in this game, but i see no reasion why it would effect pvp? even if they have bound amour on, its not like u can take it off of them without killed them

What they mean , is that if you see the guy in bound armor , which is something quite easy to notice , you know the guy spent one of his skills on the bar on it , so he got one less possible skill to use on you.

Ofc , you also know he is a lot more durable , so it can also help decide which enemy you will target.

im not exctly sure why you would use bound amour on your bar in pvp, im vet 1 right now the amour soft cap is 1600, without bound amour on and only waring 3 pices of heavy amour im just 280 some odd points from soft cap, amour in this game is not somthing OMG over as far as my testing gose. is that 500 amour(after coftcap) really going too mater if i dont have it on the bar?, im also wondering if il even need it in vet tanking pve at all if im only loseing that little bit and i still have lvl 40 gear on right now and its just green.

and thanks for the info :)

I can see how having a visible effect for bound armor would be useful in PVP. For one thing it says HEY GUYS I'M A SORCERER before he does anything, and you know that the sorcerer has at least 30 points in Daedric Summoning, so you can kinda rough estimate the target's minimum level. Which is the kind of tactical information you're willingly giving up in exchange for better protection (the advantage of Daedric armor is you can wear all cloth armor, maximizing your magicka regen, spell cost reduction, and spell critical chance and still hit the armor soft cap, or come pretty darn close to it).

So I don't begrudge Daedric Armor being a universal skin that is always there -- if you're using it, you're making a tactical decision to get the protection and along with that you're making (or resigning yourself to) a specific fashion decision as well. :D

My only wish is that the crazy spikey things could be toned down on the pauldrons, because honestly it looks like if my character sneezes or shrugs his shoulders too hard he'll decapitate himself. OTOH I suppose it allows a sorcerer to scratch his nose without interrupting his spellcasting.

yah if you waring light amour i can see the point of bound amour but for those of us who ware both i dont see the point of seeing the amout we only get about 500 additional amour off of it after soft cap and then not be able too see our own amour is sading lol

Ok could someone please tell me (the newb) wth you all are even talking about? Bound armor...like the kind that says "Binds on equip" ? The OP wants to see his armor that he is not even wearing instead of the bound armor he has on?

I am sorry, I am just having a hard time wrapping my head around any of this.
    Please help =)

It's a sorcerer ability. A buff with a toggle that gives your character a visual effect as well as the buff.

@Zakua, we're talking about a Sorcerer summoning spell that encases you in a suit of Daedric armor. It's called "Bound Armor" at it's most basic level.

I look like the Shredder! It's awesome!

With that said I only activate the spell before I go in combat. In town, or while traveling to quests, I keep it off.

No. The ability summons armor. Thus, it is visible, because you just summoned a complete set of mystical Daedric armor on your person.

Has to be visible in PVP because most decent sized buffs have a visual component.... and +1000 armor is one heck of a buff.
