Achievement Cyrodilic Collections Agent is insane! 150 Dailies?

Ok I've been working on completing achievements and ran into the Prologue Achievement "Cyrodilic Collections Agent" It requires a total of 150 dailies to be completed. These are available once per day per account it seems. So are you telling me it takes five months? Five months? Yes I repeated that.

Am I incorrect in this? We are only able to complete one of these per day? It just feels like this is an error on the part of ZoS somehow. I've worked my way through the achievements for the last six months or so and this one is by far the most time consuming. ALL other ones that require dailies to be completed are 30 days at the most and you are able to complete them on more than just one character per day. It feels like either the "number" of dailies is incorrect or that ZoS forgot to allow these to be completed by more than just one per day by using alternate characters also as in ALL other dailies.

I'll most likely be skipping this one as I don't have to do it but just checking to make sure I'm not missing something.

Don't get me started on the Imperial Sewers achievement for killing Cunning and Trove Scamps! I thought we just needed one each so went and camped out in the sewers and it took a while and finally got one of each only to discover that 100 are needed to complete them sigh.

Once per day per CHARACTER. If you have 8 characters and have completed the Murkmire prep quest on all of them, you can do 8 per day.

It used to be 6 per day per character, but the number was counted separately for each character, so you could do it in 25 days on one character, but only that character could use the Murkmire Prepper title.

Then it got changed to 1 per day per character, still counted on a per-character basis, so it would take 150 days if you started from scratch AND you had to do them all on the one character.

Then "Account-Wide Achievements" came in, and it's now 1 per day per character but the TOTAL is counted. So in fact you can achieve the title a lot faster by completing the Murkmire prologue on multiple characters.

Thank you Jle! Not going to get in a rush to do the prologue as if I recall it is quite lengthy, but a lot less than 5 months! I still wonder if it's just an oversight it just feels off. None of the other normal dailies are like this.

That's entirely true. All the other dailies are 30 rather than 150 - with the exception of the Undaunted Pledges: there are still achievements for doing 100 for each of the 3 pledge givers (Maj, Glirion and Urgalag). And these achievements have similarly become much easier - it's now 100 across all characters, rather than 100 *per character*.

Note that doing the Murkmire prologue - like many other prologues - is quite lengthy, BUT, it takes you through several Delves and World Bosses which means that if you haven't done those already, you could pick up a few skyshards en route for your second and subsequent characters.

It used to be a bit easier to grind for that Achievement, as you could pick up and complete all six Daily Quests in one day (didn't need to be shared by other players). Soloing for the Achievement took only 25 days.

I consider those sorts of achievements to be intended to be completed over time by playing the game normally. There's no urgency, and no need to consider them a "grind". It's a MMORPG intended to be played for months or even years, not an offline game to be "finished" in a couple of weeks.

When it first came out you could do several quests a day per character. Then it was changed and we complained on these forums to no avail. I finally completed it this year. It took some effort and quest sharing and muliple characters.

back when this was added, you could actually do all like 6 dailies by yourself everyday, so it still only took about a month to do the 150 needed for the achievement

i think they changed it at some point to only give you 1 per day unless your sharing them, which im sure is making it more difficult now because i doubt many people are doing them as they were near when murkmire was releasing

I completed the achievement back when it was 6 per day and it was a bloody insufferable grind, especially since the quest giver is extremely annoying (and that is a fact!). I planned to say it was already insanity to complete it as it was, but I found out reading this thread it has gotten worse, unless the player has many alts. Yes, it's insane and everytime I see someone with the "Murkmire Prepper" title I feel like giving that person a hug.

It used to be a completely normal daily achievement in line with the others, but ZOS decided years after it's release that it should be 1 per day per character. AWA has made this somewhat better but it's still too much.

I did all 150 on one character, because once a day was more than enough, completed end of January. And often refused the vomit one, because it's totally gross.

It actually took about 2-3 weeks per day to max it out with 6 a day, not a couple months.

EDIT: with 18 toons once per day, you're looking at less than 10 days for the achievement, plus, if you do it with friends, you can do up to 6 on one too by sharing them.

Thanks everyone. I decided to go through the prologue quest on other toons that I play while waiting on Cyrodill entry. Then eventually I can do more each day and not get in a hurry. Still was amazed that this is what it takes to complete. Better than the kill thirty wandering world bosses achievement in the deadlands. The deadlands are DEAD no people hardly at all to assist and I just gave up!

the other day i actually fought one of them like for real because i got that achievement back when deadlands released and all of the spawn points were camped by 20+ people and they were dying in 5 seconds lol

actually kind of more enjoying actually fighting one, it didnt take too long either cause there was 6-10 people fighting it, but it wasnt burned down in 10 sec either lol

They are actually quite fun to fight. It's a really tough boss in overland outdoors PVE. Takes a LONG time to solo though!

I ran through the prologue quest last night on my nightblade PVP toon. So now it's just going to take 75 days to complete. That is one LONG freaking prologue.
