Minor Mythic Items, and a Unique Item Slot for Them

Mythic items, currently, are items that take up an item slot in exchange for a bigger buff, similar to the two-set effect of monster helms. They come with a myriad of flavors, strengths, some with downsides that come along with those strengths.

But I have a suggestion: Minor Mythic Items, which come with their own unique item slot. Let me explain. These would be mythic items which count as mythic items, as you'd expect. You cannot equip one alongside a normal mythic item, but unlike normal mythic items, these minor mythics don't give a big effect in combat. If a minor mythic does have a combat effect, it would be small; a single smaller (but still relevant) buff, like minor berserk or empower, possibly its own unique effect with a combat trigger, but nothing game changing. It would add to a build slightly, or allow for a buff on a class that doesn't get the buff normally (like with empower as an example, not available to every class easily without Oaken). However since they do not take up a normal slot, they could be more unique in their designs or effects. For example, there could be a backpack mythic that goes in this slot; it looks like a backpack, and while you wear it, you have an increase in your inventory space. Or a peg leg mythic, which makes one of your legs a peg leg and gives extra damage to sea creatures, maomer, and pirates. It could also have more powerful effects in conjunction with stronger downsides.

Now that's a really interesting proposal! I like it....

It's a good idea and I'd be down for it. I almost think it shouldn't be combat related at all though. As a PvPer I'm not sure why I'm feeling that vibe right now but like... I dunno. More XP gain. Out of combat movement speed. Higher yield from nodes. One that'll make NPCs deal with you even if you're a stage 4 vamp. Stuff like that. I think a more creative person could come up with some neat things.

Possibly PVE only buffs if that's the case. Like my example of extra damage to pirates; if you get extra damage, it shouldn't effect PVP, and if it does, it shouldn't be offensive but instead purely defensive, other than maybe Empower which is probably fine if it's the only buff you get. For example, a civilian pass that lets you enter the PVP zone as unaligned, making it so you can't attack or be attacked by other players, but you get no pvp rewards or benefits, and you cannot take it off unless you leave the zone. Or something more normal like an increase to armor or health by a small amount.

I can't opinionate on pvp. But I do like the idea of purely defensive.

You may want to try out Mesmerize on those NPC that refuse to speak to you, it will make them more.. cooperative.

And i just want another item slot to get a total of 13.

@kisakee Good tip for sure, but that isn't really a personal problem of mine I was just brainstorming some random QOL stuff.
