I was dumped out... every login attempt succeeds, but character load results in...

    If there's nobody else then check your network connection.

    That's why I asked...

    It's working OK now (just) but nothing I changed made it better (reboot, reboot router, check VPN settings...), it was still failing... until it didn't :)
