In that case, the add-ons Character Knowledge and Inventory Insight are two I don’t know how I did without. Actually, I do know — wrote down which motif pages I was looking to buy in a certain style, etc., so I would know what to keep an eye out for on my non-primary-crafters. And of course Tamriel Trade Center. Everything else is relatively optional (but appreciated!).

I originally just had a banker. For me, that's the one assistant that makes going adventuring/questing all so much easier, and I waited and saved up just for it.

Later, I bought the Redguard merchant. It wasn't quite as important, because there are always merchants traveling the roads (who can also repair and sell basic necessities), but one of the reasons why I caved in was...ironically...because I wanted a human NPC in some of my houses. Mind you, this was a year or so before houseguests were introduced. So it's kind of funny that. xD

I later found out that merchant is really handy when it comes to writs, as it saves me the trouble of having to run from the writ turn-in to the nearest merchant to sell the junk. So it worked out in the end.

I don't use the armory system much (it's handy for when I need it, but going back to my house is good enough for me), so I probably won't get as much use from the armory assistant. And I have a dedicated crafter who is always parked in town, so I don't think I need the deconstructor.

I would love to have some kind of survey fetcher, or even survey holder (an assistant whose sole purpose is to hold all the surveys and treasure maps). But that's probably just wishful thinking on my part.

I will say that this was the one I wanted least, and for this reason. I just didn't think I would use it and if I did, I'd just port to my house. I didn't care about the armory system.

Then I figured "why not?" because of plus crowns....

And I am so glad I changed my mind. As a console player, I didn't anything similar to this as an addon. So of course, this experience will be less useful to PC players.

But once I started using it, I made a group build and a solo build. Suddenly, I was way more willing to join groups spontaneously I saw guild or zone chat, since it wouldn't require going to my house or fussing about with my build manually. I started having way more fun not having to think about it or worry about things like accidentally keeping my pale order ring on.

I also found myself getting extra slots. I have a healer slot and now I am more willing to run vet dungeons as a real healer. If I find the damage lacking, I just switch to my DPS build but put on a couple of heals. I also got a stealth build for when I want to farm furnishing or grab something sneakily real quick.

I'm using far more often than I ever did as a housing item. It just wasn't that convenient as a house item.

Paywall aside, the banker is probably the most useful thing in the CrownStore. I have bought very few things on my Alt account, but it certainly has a banker and merchant. You can get by without a merchant, but I think that is also pretty darn useful, especially when farming. I always keep both on hot key.

Am I going to pay another 5k crowns for a reskin? Um no. They might get me if the banker was 5k for the first skin and 1k for the second.

So true! I would like to get an armory assistant but I’m only going to buy one so I’m waiting for one I really like. I love my Alfiq banker and merchant!
