I think they have finally made combat totally different

Then when this game launched. The combat I knew and loved is gone and in it's place the exact reverse of what we started with. It's like the enemies have priority and so does anything that will damage you.

I really don't understand what, specifically, you're trying to communicate. Are you saying NPC enemies in the game are too hard for you?

You could never drink a potion, or perform any action, while sprinting.

What do you mean roll dodge reversed? Do you mean that when you try to roll one direction, it rolls you an unexpected direction instead? Do you mean that roll dodge isn't avoiding stuff it should? I'm on console so whatever was in the last PC patch we don't have. I'm asking sincerely

Have you spent your skill points? You can only use your inherent skills "Burp" and "Fart" until you do so.

the combat still overall feels about the same to me, except dots are too slow lol

how were things reversed? did we used to be able to use potions while running or rolling?

what does 'enemies have priority' mean?

Happened to me several times upon trying to release an ultimate on a world boss/dungeon boss.
The player's actions can always be cancelled by the foe.
I think this is what OP refers to.

I don't know but early on PvP was a lot more like Deathmatch type games (Unreal Tournament or Quake Arena) in that movement including dodging didn't cost much stamina and there was no penalties for dodging multiple times in a row. The most important thing was your aim, how you countered and also how well you hid if you wanted to snipe. Now it is build, rotations and percentages. The controls are still the same but skill and reflexes has been replaced by planning and mathematics. Its no wonder why the servers keep getting worse.

Then again maybe this is just my gripe and this isn't what they meant at all

I'm talking fundamentals. Like if I roll dodged then I take presidency over adds. I couldve swore when I first started playing you could drink your potion while running? If not should be able too. I don't agree with roll dodge not costing anything , I mean duh but it seems like when I play now I'm at the disadvantage when. It comes to npc's

As other say, pretty sure you could never use potions if sprinting and could not for years.
Not sure how it was at launch but then many things was different like no CC immunity so I was once tossed between a group of stranglers who was pretty weird.

I don't know about drinking, but I hate when I'm fighting a boss, run out of my food buff, stop to eat a fortifying bowl of Lava Foot Soup-and-Saltrice, and the boss knocks me while I'm eating, causing me to spill my meal all over the front of my cuirass.

i think thats just called "ultimate cast times" and they can be interrupted

happens in pvp all the time, but there are certain enemies that do lots of staggering attacks that can also make it harder to successfully use certain ults (NB soul tether, dawnbreaker, etc)

lets use greymoor as an example. player vamps still became a joke , NPC vamps? actually legit and more viable than players.
