It would be really helpful if zos could in future design dummy that can fight back with all in game mechanics and area of effect display.
I for one struggle in world to see mechanics while so many others visual displays are also going off to see enemy's effect and learn those mechanics.

In the game settings set the AoE fields to be Pepto Bismal Pink. You will have no problem seeing them.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

PakKat "Everything was going well, until I died"
Gary Gravestink "I am glad you died, I needed the help"

Dungeon bosses are dummy enough and there is a variety of difficulties to choose. Most dungeons can be soloed. And hot pink definitely helps. (If you have never tried to solo a dungeon, try Spindleclutch. Easy and mechanics.Vaults of Madness is fun too.)

Soooo.....actual in game content? (Dungeons, delves, arenas, etc.) Go jump in and test stuff out.

That's best idea. I always test my building idea in real hard combat situation. Target dummy is just fake combat.
    My playing time Mon-Friday UTC13:00-16:00 [PC-NA] CP over2000 now.
I'm Tank and Healer main player.

There's two in-game settings found in: Options->Gameplay->Enemy colour/Enemy Brightness. Play around with the brightness and colours: bright pink, white, turquoise, yellow, etc., it's honestly a game changer, when I changed it I was like 'I can finally stuff!'

The pink AOE advice is the best advice. Its amazing what you can see after making a few colour changes

I agree. The default red is hard to see.

Also, if not done already, change to third person view (middle mouse wheel zoom out). This helps a lot with situational awareness.

For the rest: you need to practice in "real life" (haha) situations as movements by bosses and adds and yours is a big part of the entire boss fight.

Mechanics Barry from one boss to another making it to much if a challenge to incorporate such a suggestion.

The dummy is intended for refining our damage builds and to get our rotations doen to the point we can focus on paying attention to the fight mechanics instead of our bars.

I’d like a boss “dummy” for housing that can be programmed for a patrol route, and goes into preset combat moves when you get too close. It’s like a way to build your own dungeon to share with others

Slimecrawl first boss in FG1 was commonly used as an target dummy before we got them.
But as you say we have dungeons and world bosses who does this.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.
