(5 items) Adds 200 Weapon and Spell Damage, Dealing damage to an enemy within 10 meters of you with a Heavy Attack causes you to throw a cone of knives, dealing 816 Physical Damage to enemies hit. If an enemy hit has 50% Health or less, they also take an additional 1631 Bleed Damage over 14 seconds. This effect can occur once every 15 seconds and scales off the higher of your Weapon or Spell Damage
.

Anybody know if the 15 second timer only counts for the bleed damage dot or for the knives cone part as well?

Well, in case someone cares: I bought a set. The 15 second timer is for both part of the effect, making it rather useless. On top of that the knives animation seems bugged, it shows only like half the times or even less. With the dummy under 50% I could see the dot being reapplied with the second delay without fault, but the animation was buggy.

I do care! I've often thought about using that set but always thought the proc seemed kinda meh. The stats are nice though-- so there's that. I like procs that happen more frequently. I'll be honest I'm just not a good enough player to keep track of 15 seconds in my head. Been thinking about trying Ashen Grip though.

well with the way i would understand the proc

the cooldown itself is on the knife cone, the bleed occurs as an effect of the knife cone when the target is under 50%

im not sure why the effects would be counted separately because the way i read it the enemy gets the bleed from the knife cone

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

Yeah, that was my assumption as well, just felt the 15 second cooldown was excessive for a proc that's really not all that powerful so wanted to be sure. Oh well.

i agree, i think they could remove the 50% hp requirement since the dmg on the bleed is not even getting execute scaling (such as sheer venom)

My rule of thumb regarding armor sets is that if the 5 piece bonus is so long and convoluted to read that I either get a headache or fall asleep reading it, I avoid the set. ;)

Similar mindset. If it has more than 2 conditions or long cooldown with barely payoff it's not worth looking at.

    Deadlands has...
    1) Deal damage within 10 meters
    2) Has to be a heavy attack
    3) Puts a bleed if 50% or lower on foe. That's 1 second shorter than the cooldown

15 second cooldown for a poor direct damage attack and conditional bleed.
