Love this event. It would be absolutely amazing though if you made it a full 7 days for people who don’t have ‘normal’ weekends.

Seriously, THANK YOU. I love these lil mini events. After dealing with whatever RND pug thinks they have to run through everything and actually make everything take longer with all the deaths and inability to get through doors, etc. It is SO pleasant to just tour the countryside for double drops and farm until my lil heart is content. I love these mini events even more than most of the actual events. ANY zone I just feel like spending time in, mmmm.

Thanks for the feedback and glad you're enjoying the event! We like doing these a few times a year, so it's always a fun surprise. I'll be leveling some weapon skill lines myself. :)

Any chance we get some fun surprise imperial city or AP events?

Yesterday I got 4-5 Potent Nirn, about double of Fortified Nirn running around Craglorn for an hour or so, and a Hakeijo from a Squidgy portal. Score!

Similar result here: I had 2 fortified and 0 potent nirncrux before the weekend, and now have 15 and 12, and I somehow picked up 2 hakeijo runes from somewhere (I found them in my inventory, and went WTH?).

I personally don't like it since it's impossible to get a good rate of platinum during this with all of the good spots being farmed by everyone at the same time.

If you're looking for jewelry seams, make sure you harvest all blacksmithing nodes that you see, so they have a chance to be respawned as jewelry seams. They could do that on their own after an unharvested blacksmithing node despawns, but it's a lot quicker to harvest the blacksmithing node than waiting for it to despawn.

The same goes for Psijic portals; if you aren't finding as many as you think you should be, then make sure you are harvesting all of the normal runestones that you come across.

    Double Drops?

    Some conditions may apply.

    :(

It doesnt say that you get double drops in this event it say ' Increased yeild from harvest nodes '

"Double draws" is a better way to describe it than "double drops."

With the Plentiful Harvest(?) perk you have a chance to get a second draw from a node when you harvest it.

With the Explorers Event you get a guaranteed second draw from the node.

With both active, you get a guaranteed second draw due to the event, but for each of those draws you have a chance to get an extra draw due to the perk, so the end result is that you can get two, three, or four draws from a single node, although only the second draw is guaranteed, and the chance of getting a fourth draw is lower than the chance of getting a third draw.

At times it will look like you aren't getting a bonus from the event because it will look like you only got the perk's bonus, but in fact the opposite is true-- you did get the guaranteed bonus from the event, but did not get any potential bonus from the perk.

Totally unrelated to this event, but last night I found my first Recipe: Colovian War Torte in Cyrodiil. Yay! Now I know what they look like in the wild. The bad news is, it was on my alt server rather than my main server. ;D

Totally agree. I took the opportunity to run around some out-of-the-way areas of Cyrodiil harvesting nodes and saw some really interesting scenery. For instance, I learned that there’s a really pretty series of lakes and waterfalls down the hill behind Harlun’s Outpost that I’d never run across. I really enjoyed it.

Glad that most of you are really enjoying the event as well! Also, thanks. I just wanted to make a post that was gratitude based as there are so many posts in which I point at what I don't like but I realized I often don't spend much time thinking about the things about ESO I DO like. I did not expect the post would garner much in the way of attention.

    Cheers!

I decided to use this event to return to Rkindaleft public dungeon in Wrothgar. I visited it a while back when my (only) character was well below level 50, and I struggled to fight even the mobs. This time, I conquered the place and defeated all the bosses. It's so satisfying to return to previously-daunting places and do that.

The nirncrux farming has also been going well, so I'm reasonably happy with the results.

The event ended on a high for me. It's just after 8pm here and I have work tomorrow, so that's it for me.

On Friday afternoon, I had the not-so-grand total of 2 fortified nirncrux and 0 potent, now I have 21 and 13! :) I also stocked up on those materials commonly requested in the daily alchemy writs. Then, to end today on a really good note, one of my hireling emails contained 20 jazbay grapes! :) I'd never got these in a hireling email before, so it was a pleasant surprise.

I'm slow to chase new stuff, so it was only when I was looting in Murkmire before the event that I realized, after getting the Oakensoul ring lead, that I had already accidentally acquired the three hardest-to-RNG pieces of it and only had to murder Malabal Tor mobs and raid blacksmithing nodes in Glenumbra to complete it. My BFF was in a similar position, so we grouped up to murder trash mobs in Malabal Tor and got our 4th lead.

Then the event dropped unexpectedly, so wonderful time to farm nodes in Glenumbra. LOL Got my last lead and the ring. Then a mutual friend mentioned an OakenSorc build they were running recently and having fun with. My BFF decided, given the double XP event, to make a Sorc and grind dolmens to use her ring on him.

And I remembered I had some poor Sorc I'd made years ago and never really got into playing, so he was sitting at level 13 just from crafting dailies during Anniversary Jubilees and otherwise living the life of a pack mule holding inventory for me.

He graduated to CP rank last night and doesn't have to hold my main's purse anymore. LOL He gets to have some playtime occasionally now. Wouldn't have likely done that otherwise if not for the convergence of timing, so that was pretty cool. :)

If you do nDSA or nBRP with an friend you level up companions fast, to be nice ask if some want to join on last boss for the weapon drops.

Damn, I could've bumped into @ZOS_Kevin without realizing it!

This surprise event (at least it was a surprise to me) was great. No rush to collect pages, no need to put up with repetitive quests, just the challenge of balancing the pursuit of gold, mats and XP within a (very) limited timeframe. It was relaxing to grab piles of mats, fun to make extra gold and hilarious to earn 386k XP from a random with my necro using a 50% scroll and a few minutes left of the Witches Festival boost (yes, he's "slightly" neglected). Lots of mundane runes were sent to the vaults and I got to explore Tamriel a bit. Oh, and in honor of the event, I selected "Explorer" as my main's title.

Now, sadly, comes post-event gloom. I guess I should spend time now making up some room in my storage chests for stacks of pies.
