Moras Whispers lead farming

So two of the leads known so far drop from watchers. People have been farming Atoll of Immolation and Cauldron for them, which both feel very slow because there are very few watchers.
Which begs some questions: are there any places with more watchers? and if so is any watcher elegible for these leads or only ones in specific zones?
I have been trying to get a lead from the watcher world boss in Bangkorai, killed it 10-15 times with no luck.

Also the last lead still unknown for this mythic is the "Lurker-skin sheath" which presumably drops from lurkers but if it were that easy it should have been found by now. Anyone got any news on that? (I really wanna get my hands on that mythic, if it wasnt obvious by now ^^)

Not sure if it drops from them, but Imperial City Prison and Vaults of Madness have a fair amount of watchers.

Is the Sclerotic Tentacle lean dropping ONLY from the Watchlings in the Atoll of Immolation or will the Deadlands overland watchlings?

I got the watchling one from atoll, but not in the last section where everyone sits and farms. Probably with a macro. If you start from beginning and kill all trash, you will probably have it in 1-2 runs. Good luck.

There are some watchers in Vaults of Madness, can farm the Grothdar Mask too there if it still drops

Wish it was 'with a macro'.

A macro would be significantly better suited for this mindless, joyless task than a person.

Alas such shenanigans go against the TOS so this person and not a macro has spent 4+ hours in the Atoll of Immolation, killing 6 watchlings every 5 minutes, of which only 1 in 10 drops any actual loot, without success in acquiring the lead.

This was in three different instances as engaging in this activity for 4+ uninterrupted hours would suck the will to live from me (as opposed to a macro who would not care) which meant three times of killing all trash on my way there.

I am not saying that what you propose is impossible (blissfully getting the lead in 1-2 runs), but is improbable.

Everyone has different luck with different leads. You can't know without asking around if your experience is the norm. For me, the hardest lead to get that I wanted this expansion was the one from Vile Manse in Reaper's Marsh. Others got it from opening just a few chests. I must have popped 100. YMMV.

I'm telling.
1) Tentacle. In the Atoll, on the last island in front of the last boss, there is a small lake of lava where a behemoth and two fire atronachs spawn. When you aggro them, three watchlings appear from portals near them. You kill atronachs and watchlings, and take the behemoth away so that he loses aggro. Then you go back and aggro the behemoth again and again three watchlings spawn. They can be looted, although very rarely. Lead drops, checked. And so on until you get bored or some random player decides to help you and kills the behemoth.
2) Drop from big watchers. Just go to Cauldron with other players, kill the first watchers, then regroup and PTE. Repeat.

I have been soloing the first two watchers in The Cauldron already but the other 'trick' I didn't know, I was just killing everything as it spawned (as one does).

Is unlikely I will be able to 'pull it off' this evening because of the player traffic in the area but I will try in the wee hours of the morning, thank you.

Is VoM confirmed to drop the lead though? So far I am only certain it drops in Cauldron and the Atoll. Because farming a dungeon that drops a lead anyways would be kinda nice.

One of the leads can drop from any watcher. A second drops from the watcher boss on the island in ICP. A third only drops from watchlings, perhaps only in the Atoll for Deadlands.

Got the watcher (not watchling) lead from a watcher in the Deadlands zone - not in the Atoll.

Almost 5 hours later, no Watchling lead. Its gonna be fun.

I did a bit of watcher farming on day 2 but I haven't gotten any leads yet. I'm not looking forward to having to farm the watcher boss in ICP. I don't like it there.

10 hours in farming watchlings. Nothing. This is absurd, they aren't even full health mobs and have tiny loot tables. So crazy. Needs a fix. I've met many others who have had the same problem.

best place to farm watchlings is the southern portal to Atoll - two watchers and plenty of watchlings. just don't go to final section (has a big step where you can't get back up) and keep running back and forth in the first three sections.

There's a place west/southwest of the Deadlands Raging Coast wayshrine that has three watchers on a convenient loop, and on the way there from the shrine you can find another watcher and a few watchlings as well.

Heres where the leads drop to my current knowledge (with insight from the UESP.):

Bloodshot Oculus: Watcher Mobs in the deadlands or the Atoll of Immolation can drop this.
Lurker-Skin Sheath: This one can be found rarely from Opening Treasure Chests in the Vile Manse Public dungeon in reapers march. And take it from me, that one will take a long time to find depending on player traffic.
Schlerotic tentacle: Found on Watchlings in the Deadlands or Atoll of immolation.
Seeker-Sinew Thread: Apparently found in clothing nodes. Picking up clothing nodes in the deadlands is probably a good idea if you want to knock out two birds with one crossbow bolt with the other leads.
Twitching Eyeball: This lead only drops from the Grave-Light Sentry Boss in the Imperial city prison. (Note: The Twitching Eyeball lead can only drop after defeating all mobs of this miniboss. Solely killing the Gravelight Sentry will only drop gold, whereas the lead can drop by looting the last dead Xivkyn Necromancer in the encounter.)
