Every notice how you get the same gear sets in consecutive streaks when you're chest-farming? Like, if you're in Vardenfell, you'll get a Defiler item, next chest: Defiler item, next chest: Defiler item, next chest: Warrior Poet, next chest: Warrior Poet, next chest: Warrior Poet, and so on.

What the heck is up with that? That's not "natural" RNG.

Either it's just unbiased prng properly used just happening to give apparent streak. Human brain is very good at recognizing patterns, even when there are none. Or every time a sequence of random numbers are needed the prng is reseeded with a seed which occasionally changes, which would be incorrect use and could cause streaky results. I expect it is the latter but there is No way to know without keeping a list of every drop with time and location and analysing data to find evidence for more streaks than expected from random. Or looking at the code.
