Thinking to make a new character but not sure which class to pick. I mainly only play stamina dps and play PvE content (trials & dungeons).

The classes I need help picking from are
StamDK
StamSorc
StamDen

I have characters for the other classes already.

Edit:
Or should I just wait for Archanist ? Did any infor drop on the skills and passives yet ?

    Greetings,

After further review we have decided to move this thread to a category we think is more appropriate for this topic.

    Thank you for your understanding.

DK seems to be meta for hard mode trials, but that could well be mag or hybrid DK. Source: Skinny Cheeks @ 04:50 in this video:

If you want something to solo or PUG with, then I think stamsorc is hard to beat due to Crit Surge, but I've been running hybrid tank / DD / Brawler builds, so that's what I'm thinking of. Pure DD is probably OK too, though, because of sorc's strong damage passives. The class makes the most of weapon skills.
PC EU: Magblade (PvP main), DK (PvE Tank), Sorc (PvP and PvE), Magden (PvE Healer), Magplar (PvP and PvE DD), Arcanist (PvE DD)
PC NA: Magblade (PvP and PvE every role)

Out of those I’d say stamsorc. Stamdk is a worse magdk and wardens aren’t really welcome in trials.
    To elaborate:
Magdk can sustain talons, a strong aoe spammable. Stamdk can’t. Magdk can also sustain whip in medium armor while stamdk doesn’t get the reduction in their off-resource (as that would be from light armor).

Wardens were not the best before we were nerfed, let alone post-nerf. The “fix” for the absolutely destructive nerf tied warden to ice staff, which does not help for stamdens. Even as a magden I’ve heard a few times that wardens just don’t do damage (compared to the other classes). Additionally, shalks still don’t work on Taleria in DSR. I think it works somewhat if you stand on the absolute edge of the island but it’s risky and it just goes to show we aren’t cared about. Save yourself the pain.
Edit: also, I think the current advanced species screws stamdens even more as they may go over crit cap just by slotting class skills…

Stamsorc I know works and it works well.

Avoid Sorc like the pest. Just look at the dev comments how it is intendent to be bad, because it has stuff like Negate, a skill that is useless in 99% of content and has a single niche application in PvP. They intentionally get no buffs. They intentionally are bad. They intentionally even get nerfed further. They intentionally get slight increases in skills that wont do anything just to pretend that they care about this class. They are just the worst class right now.

Devs tell even that "you cant have all and be good at everything" when playing Sorc, while Sorc shines literally nowhere and is even bad in many things...

If you really want a working (and thus probably fun to play) class, just choose one of the absolutely overbuffed classes that have literally everything and get even buffed further and further every patch: the dragon knight and the nightblade.

Seeing how biased the devs are towards their 2 loved classes, I am wondering that wardens are still somehow decent, so if you really dont want to pick one of those 2 classes go with warden and forget about the other classes if you dont want to suffer...

This is nonsense. If you are a PvPer, then magsorc is arguably bad right now, but stamsorc or hybrid sorc is IMO pretty OK. If you are a high-end, and I mean a have-played-for-years or am a hardcore-from-the-get-go player, then you look at Skinny Cheeks' trial class distribution and you see it's completely out of whack, with DK at 67%, necro at 18% and the rest at near zero. That's not just sorc. Nightblade is even worse.

If you are that hardcore player, then go mag DK, or maybe NB in PvP - sure. If you are anyone else, sorc is great. Heavy attack magicka pet sorcs rule for damage. Stamina sorcs can make for amazing solo builds and off-meta tanks. Streak helps you in vet Vateshran when you don't have high DPS. It also remains a great PvP skill. Sorc's damage passives are real. It is much easier to get good damage out of a stamsorc than it is from a stam DK. I'm not talking about fully optimised endgame rotations. If you're a decent player with half a rotation and some utility, like me, then I think you'll enjoy sorc, like me.
PC EU: Magblade (PvP main), DK (PvE Tank), Sorc (PvP and PvE), Magden (PvE Healer), Magplar (PvP and PvE DD), Arcanist (PvE DD)
PC NA: Magblade (PvP and PvE every role)

If you're just playing for your own enjoyment, forget the meta and pick a style that suits you best.

My main characters in most games are melee, because I like hitting my enemies up close rather than ranged play.

My newest character is a sword and board dps, which isn't the greatest, it's not going to get me on any scoreboards, but I get a LOT of satisfaction when I charge someone with my shield and knock them down.
