Easter egg on "GM Island"

So bored in cyrodill i wandered off map and found this little easter egg on GM island i think its called "PvP gamdevs for eso"

Cool. There's a GM Island in Elderscrolls. I thought there was only one in WoW. I never knew, thanks for telling me about it. 😀

If I go there will I encounter and meet a Game Master? How do I get to GM Island?

Is this actually a GM island? As in a place ZOS staff would go to meet up and discuss issues, or park their characters when they went afk? Or is it just an island that's not shown on the map and not normally accessible and got that nickname becaue of older games?

I didn't think staff in modern MMOs had to resort to things like that, they normally have better tools for running the game without having to be in specific locations. (Or even logged into a character in the game at all.)

Nah, and I don't think there's been any GMs in the game in many years afaik. Unless they are all using normal, anonymous account names now, but I haven't seen any zone moderation in chat in years so probably not. I think the last time I had interaction with one was like in 2016.

Nah, it's just an incomplete island where Fort Grief is with some minor gag items.

IIRC, in one of his streams Rich said that the GMs have tools that let them monitor what's going on in the game and basically give them superpowers of a sort. IIRC, he joked that it's a good thing he doesn't have access to their tools because he might be tempted to run around in game as a giant chicken, or something along those lines.

Just because you can't see them, doesn't mean they aren't there, watching what goes on.

I have to admit that seeing a GM Chicken running around Daggerfall would be pretty funny.

Edit: Anyone who plays Skyrim knows all the chickens of Tamriel are watching. It is the size that would be funny.

That island has been there for years, and it's supposed to be unreachable because of the slaughterfish waters. Though some years ago a player was able to get there due to a bug where I think after dying in combat, they rezzed in an alternate instance devoid of other players, and the slaughterfish didn't damage you, so they just swam there.

I couldn't figure out how to get there. It seems like they put slaughterfish in the way now. Can you confirm you did this recently, and where did you enter the water (with another pic please).

It was me , i puted camp there for fun as for how i got there its my dirty lil secret
