Omega dark anchors are only available by questing through the Fighter's Guild. And only you can defeat six dark anchors to unlock the Omega anchor also the requirement of how many people can join the Omega dark anchor is 10 that's the limit.

This is just for fun mate's that's all.

    I don't get it.

You're saying if you've completed the Figher's Guild quest and done 6 more dark anchors you get to do another one where you're guarenteed not to have more than 10 people there, but otherwise it's the same? What's the point?

It's not hard to find dark anchors with only a few people around, or even ones with no one around (I've done several of them solo) so if that's the only difference between this "omega dark anchor" and the normal ones I don't see why it's any different to whast's already in the game.

why is the limit 10 when the group limit is 12?
how do these differ from regular dark anchors?

I think the possibility of some harder anchors in some situations could be cool. Unfinished Dolmen for example is an interesting fight but, it's a bit of a pain to do solo on characters that aren't durable.

With that said, I think you'd possibly hit challenges with finding a sustainable population for doing them if multiple people are needed. You'd also likely want the quest to specify dolmens rather than just six. The time commitment to do six dolmens varies dramatically depending on where they are.

Dark anchors are way too easy so I understand OP's thinking. But six dark anchors is also way too easy. Maybe some kind of random dark anchor spawn that is more akin to a harrowstorm. Or make dark anchors more of a challenge. Limiting players overland would be difficult, unless you are thinking it spawns in a delve of sorts.

They already did this. New zones don't have dark anchors any more. They have Geysers and Harrowstorms and Vents instead.

Neither fighters guild nor anchors are part of the game I bother with. Totally not fun. Would much prefer various other things to using dev time for this.

Should probably just make all overland more difficult instead.

So do you think we're supposed to assume this will also be harder than normal dark anchors? Because I've done them solo (mainly in Cyrodiil) and with 2-3 other people and it's not any harder to finish them, and it's easier to make sure I get kill credit with fewer people. (I'm not a great player either, I can't solo most world bosses.) So I don't think just limiting the number of people would make dark anchors harder to complete, it would need something more.

I'm sure there must be more to the idea than what's stated in the OP's post, but I'm always wary of assuming I can guess what that is because what I think would make an idea better isn't necessarily what anyone else would add to it.

I mean, Harrow storms are sort of an upgrade to Dolmens outside of events when there's less players nuking them outright. But unless we are talking about better rewards than your typical Harrow Storm then I just don't see the point. If they ever released another version of Craglorn then sure, but the rewards would have to be worth it. Craglorn overland would be awesome if its sets didn't suck so badly.
