Oaken - probably the only one that 'would fit all' but not in group content.

I think that 'one fit all' approach is not good for different game styles of Tank/Heal/DD.

It depends on what you are doing

Spaulder of Ruin and Death Dealers are great tank mythics

The Kilt is probably the best for PVE DD's doing group content

    Pearls are great for healers

Gaze of Sithis, Markyn Ring, Oakensoul, Malacath's Band, Pale Order are all great depending on your PVP build

    Agreed on the PvE side.

For PvP I would add the evergreen Wild Hunt and currently-so-very-meta Sea Serpent's Coil. Also:
    • Markyn is kind of weak, but has no downside. This made it meta in PvP for a while, but in terms of getting that title it's arguably been eclipsed by Sea Serpent. This is due to the monster damage the latter gives you. Markyn added damage is around 3%, Sea Serpent is more like 15% according to Skinny Cheeks.
    • I think Sormweaver's is worth experimenting with on pure magicka specs.
    • Snow Treaders have worked quite well for me on stamsorc with Major Expedition from the bow, Minor from Hurricane and, of course, Streak making up for the lack of sprint speed.
    • Sithis is really dependent on your playstyle, e.g. you want to be dodge roller. You're going to take full damage from meteors and other things that you ought to block, though. Even if you're not a DK and don't use 1H+S, I think blocking is too important. I'd consider Sithis only for a health-regen build. If you want a low skill cap build for either PvE or PvE, then that might be an option. I actually do use it as a tanking option for harder world bosses on my magicka templar, cause you can't block while spamming Puncturing Sweeps anyway.
    • Malacath is yesteryear's mythic. Crit is generally important again. You'd want to have a specific build in mind, if wearing this. Low crit builds tend to leave me feeling exposed due to the lack of crit healing. It's just not that good anymore. Not because it inhibits healing, but because you'd build for low crit while wearing this. I suppose you'd wear heavy armor (increasing your base healing), which means I'm probably too biased to judge this mythic correctly, since I prefer medium and light.
    • I don't think Pale Order is much good for PvP. It's healing is weak in PvP. You can't be healed by others. Maybe, just maybe, if you're farming mobs in IC and you intend to largely ignore players, this could be a good option to become tanky there, because you get better heals from the much higher damage you do against NPCs.

a note on this, malacath only reduces crit dmg, it doesnt mention crit healing so it shouldnt affect that (since it was changed from removing crit possibility outright, to just -50% crit dmg, but they also reduced the dmg bonus from 25 to 16%)

at best it negates your base crit dmg, but if you have a high crit dmg build you could still have 50-70% crit dmg along with the 16% dmg (if for some reason your well over the crit dmg cap, it might be better to use malacath anyway)
