removing shoulders is a great idea and if you can do that can you please do the same with tassets

I love the idea of hiding the shoulders it will allow us to make some great looking armor styles thank you for that.
But then there's the tassets that's the plate armor that hangs over your thighs and on some of these cuirass and chest pieces they are monstrous
they clip over sheathed weapons they don't even always look like they work with the armor they are on, they are just terrible looking.
Can we please hide them the same way? You want a sleeker looking design hiding your shoulders great!!
However you will be cursed with thunder thigh armor tassets that will be even more accentuated now.

Unfortunately most of the tassets and front/back flaps are attached to the chest pieces. So making them hidable might be fairly complex to do. Some have thought they might be better attached to belts, but that requires a lot of work by the armor design team.

I find the tassets and other flappy things abhorent, but it might be too late to change the older chests. But they could AT LEAST stop adding them to new armors!

THe problem is the hide shoulders feature will hide the entire piece of armor. What you are asking for would only hide a portion of the piece of armor. I think that would require creating a new armor piece with the tassets removed. They couldn't just replace the old armor with the new because some players may like the way they look now.

Eh, it's entirely possible that this is their preferred "look" for ESO's armors.

The fact that they keep releasing such armors means that it's a design choice. I'm fine with it overall.

Usually, the medium armor leg pieces don't have that part, so you could mix and match with the outfit station.

Why can't we get the option to just hide all of our armor? If people want to run around in their underwear, I don't see the problem with that at all. People can already run around with no clothes on, but they just choose not to.

Oooh! Putting them on belts would be cool, tho it kinda makes me feel like its a sci-fi game where we get to choose which floating belt would we wear. lol I'm sure it'd be difficult too.

hehe, nah, people still want to look cool their armor. Otherwise, people wouldn't spend millions of gold on armor styles/motifs. And for those that do want to run around in their underwear, so be it. It's a fantasy world. Zenimax could easily code this into the game.

I've seen in previous threads that the functionality to hide tassets already exists in the game. It's just not turned on. So, it is quite doable.

I wish. There are so many nice robes and chest pieces that are ruined by these hideous mud flaps. It would open up hundreds of new possibilities for outfits if they would allow hiding these.

I love the idea of attaching all waist anchored stuff to belts. Flappers for hips, butt & crotch; books, potion cases, pouches, etc.

Also, just STOP putting flappers on light armor and reduce their use on medium armor - at least going forward things might get a little better.

Tassets are ugly by design. Their function is to give players the motivation to acquire new, less-ugly armour/clothing. This often involves spending $$$ on the game.

If ZOS gave us their best work on day one, what would players buy next?

I’d be careful of making claims based on information not officially discussed or introduced. It might be in the API, but ZOS has never discussed it or provided details, so we have no idea what the state of functionality is, whether it is just waiting to be “turned on” or whether there is still a lot more work to be done (which might or might not get done). Speculating about features that have been found in files but not officially discussed is now against forum rules, which was not the case when that comment was posted.

Yes please plus really should have the option to hide each armor piece anyway, it vastly increases customisation of armor sets that the community comes up with.

Eso fashion gets insanely cool, more options will just give fashionista types more cool ideas.

Except that the rear is always hidden on Khajiit and Argonians else they would clip a lot with the tail.
This indicates at least the rear is an separate object. Front flaps is an issue on robes as they tend to clip into the skirt.
Yes I could get that if you use an top and a skirt but robes is one piece.
Not to talk about the side plates, get they are there to not get floating weapons.

I had that exact same opinion a while back. I'm an animator, and am very familiar with 3D objects and how they work, so it would seem that due to these things being connected to armor would be hard if not impossible to remove due to the sheer number of them in game, needing to retroactively go back and do it wouldn't be logistically possible.

... But it was an option in the PTS at some point around U30-U34 for a week or two along with the hide shoulders option, and both options worked fine. So... I do not see why they refuse to put it in the game for players to use.

Agree, It would be a much different and more complicated coding to hide a part of a piece of armor as it would require building a new asset for that piece in every motif in the game.

Can it be done? Of course, it can but what they did with shoulders is not a comparable or relevant comparison.
