As far as I can tell it will only hide pets if they're exactly on top of the banker or a crafting station. But if they're in a slightly different position, even right next to it, then they're not hidden.
So maybe it helps people who play in first person occasionally, but otherwise it seems completely useless.

I am the very model of a scientist Salarian, I've studied species Turian, Asari, and Batarian.
I'm quite good at genetics (as a subset of biology) because I am an expert (which I know is a tautology).
My xenoscience studies range from urban to agrarian, I am the very model of a Scientist Salarian.
It's not working the way supposedly intended. Of course, "supposedly intended" probably means reading into the bare patch notes statements what people really wanted to see.
Which didn't happen.
I'm not fussed. I don't mind the pets whereever - you can always click through them to operate the writ box reticles.
Players just need to stand a little bit back the table to keep all their followers on. Also, it seems to work at crafting stations only. Not at all services like I thought it should. Typically, at banks like in Auridon, at peak times, it's the same nightmare than before.
Sad...

The bears aren't that bad but those daedric flapflaps make me CRAZY. I have processing issues with constantly moving animations and I have to position myself so that the FLAPFLAPFLAPFLAPFLAP is out of my line of sight or I am literally unable to use the banker. I actually cheered aloud in my office when I read that they would FINALLY be gone..... and then nope. Very disappointed by this. Please get rid of them in towns as you promised, Zeni!!
