Forced Lock-picking nerf?

Ever since the patch before the Dragon event started in January Forced Lock-picking has failed around half the time. Nothing was mentioned in the patch and no this is not a simple case of Rng, I noticed the change forced lockpicking fails far too much now and needs to be changed back to how it was before the patch.

    Could still be RNG. If there is a difference, it'd be a bug, not a nerf. 25% is 25%.

    If it was rng it wouldnt have been the same chances for failure day in and day out for over 2 weeks now, and it happened after the patch.

    forcing locks has always been super RNG

    there are many times ive failed a simple lock with 85% chance upwards of 4-5 times (or in one case, 13 times in a row lol)

    then other times it opens on the first force

    though i will say anecdotally, the "easier" locks tend to fail forcing more than "harder" locks, as in ive failed more on simple locks than advanced or master locks

    I'm sorry but this is not rng, something had to of been changed in the patch, I've been playing for half a year or longer now and force lock picking never failed this much. We're supposed to be expert level at lock picking and I'm getting beginner/intermediate level failure.

    This needs to be fixed, whether its a bug a patch or a security design feature to prevent speed picking after a certain point.

    All I know is the failure rate is far too consistent to be RNG.

    That's odd-- I haven't noticed any such change. It sounds more like RNG.

    Bethesda doesn't even work on ESO. I can assure you that there was no hidden nerf. There is no reason for it to be nerfed. If it's a bug, it's a bug but just because something seems off doesn't mean that it's statistically significant. As in, it can still just be chance.

    Bug or not, but I have noticed if I wait a second or two before I try to force the lock, I have better success. Versus when I hit the force unlock immediately quickly as I can.

    Its not RNG, Its far to consistent, The designers secretly moved the goal posts in the patch before the dragon event.

    It needs to be changed back to its original percentages. Forced lock picking fails far too much.
