Returning player looking for best ESO mouse!

So I've been away for about a year, and now I'm getting the urge to immerse myself in the world of Tamriel once again! Prior to my departure, I was using a Razer Naga Hex for a number of years and I loved its 6 button side configuration for thumb clicking, which worked perfectly with ESO skills. Now the darn thing is acting kind of funky, doing double-clicks on a single mouse click, refusing to move on screen, etc. So I really want to come back into the game with the best tools, and unfortunately, the Naga Hex is discontinued. I see that Razer has something similar available, I think called the Razer Naga Trinity, so I'm wondering if this is the best replacement for the hex. I guess it has detachable side panels, one of which has a 7 button configuration. Any thoughts on superb mouse options for playing the game? I don't necessarily need a razer product, but I did love the multiple button configuration for firing off skills.

Corsair scimitar might be the one you're looking for if can't find razor one in your region. Might be a taste thingy though.

Personally prefer less side buttons and perfectly satisfied with hyperx haste which have just two.

Razor is good but I like having weights in mouse. It helps with precision.

Any mouse with left/right click and a scroll wheel

Don't buy one of those ones with 200 buttons on the side, unless your gonna use them all, waste of money

My mouse has 2 extra buttons on the side that I use for Weapon Swap and Dodge Roll

Has an naga mouse with 12 side buttons, however the placement is to far back for me but only need 6 of the side buttons.

I was using a simple mouse, no extra buttons, until my hubby got me a Naga Trinity. Tried the bazillion button panel and that didn't work, but the round 7 button side is my standard now.

Some people experience an issue with a very stiff, clicking mouse wheel. I had that issue to start and was looking up videos on how to fix it. Not long after the thing felt like something shifted inside and it's been perfect ever since.

Could do without the constant update windows, however.

Best ESO mouse I had was the Logitech G500 followed by the G502.

I have tried a number of "MMO" mouses. You know, the ones with so many buttons on the side that you can practically type out a college paper just using your thumb.

I like the thumb layout of the EVGA X15, but the software is a deal killer for me.

I have tried the Corsair Scimitar, twice, and while the software is good, the hardware quality is not.

In the end, the best was the G500.

I'd steer clear from Razer products, super cheap materials and full of problems. G502 X is by far the best gaming mouse in the market, you also have the option to install a program that modifies the onboard memory directly and doesn't need to run 24/7, so less bloatware. If for some reason you feel you need more buttons -- get a Naga.

I was sceptical of mice with extra buttons until I got a PC which came with one by default. Once I got used to it I don't think I could go back to a normal mouse for games. Although I can't use most of the MMO mice because I'm left-handed so all the buttons are on the wrong side.

My current one is a Corsair M55 which has 2 buttons on each side and an extra one in the middle. I use the middle one for auto-run and the side ones for F, R, dodge and mount. Not a lot but it makes a big difference to have those always available.

I also got one of those silly keyboards where you can set the colour of each key individually, which people also told me I wouldn't use and I find it really useful for reminding me what's bound where. Of course I have to remember what each colour means but I picked whichever colour seemed logical to me for that function, even if it doesn't make sense to anyone else (like dark blue for skills) which makes it easy. Although my old keybord was labelled in black on a black background making it almost impossible to see what the keys even were, so anything was going to be an improvement over that.

Yep, the logitech G502 Hero is the best IMO. It has a few side buttons, and that's all you need for the few extra things really needed for ESO. Plus, the little sidebar for your thumb is AWESOME.

I've also tried a couple different razor mice, but the logitch is less expensive and performs better, and most important, lasts way longer than razor mice. You don't have to spend a fortune to get a great gaming mouse. The logitech G502 is fantastic and by far the best bang for the buck at the same time.

I have razer naga with 2 side buttons + 2 buttons below wheel. I find it perfect.

First side button is set to up arrow key, so I can move with mouse (prevents losing the functions of the left mouse button). Lowest button below wheel is set to auto-run. Wheel click is set to E. That way, the main controls are straight with mouse.
Rest actions are set on my razer tartarus left side of keyboard.

I stopped using razer naga when controller support was enabled. Unlike with consoles, we can rebind controllers and with more combinations than consoles. I leave non-essentials on the keyboard.

I have a cheap Redragon MMO mouse with a 12-button panel, but I haven't been able to get used to it; my thumb is too fat for the teeny tiny buttons..

Logitech G502 for me too. I don't need loads of side buttons and they are often too small to use easily. I have 1-5 mapped to the side buttons and weapon swap on the middle button.

This is also my approach lol. I am using old and rather cheap Asus mouse (ROG Sica) that does not even have a dpi button. Only regular buttons & scroll wheel. It is however supposed to last forever as it has user - replaceable switches (no soldering required).

I used to use a mouse that had a lot of additional buttons and dpi switch... but I never used any additional buttons & dpi switch was almost always pressed accidentally causing all sorts of in-game troubles lol.

The adjustable weighting is great too. I forgot about that. You can move the weight from front to back or center, and make the mouse lighter or heavier as well. I don't think many other mice have so much versatility when it comes to weighting.

Another feature that is great that I forgot to mention is the adjustable dpi. You can make the mouse so sensitive that you almost can't use it for anything other than gaming.

I'm just using a logitech mouse with two extra buttons and some cursor speed toggle buttons. I haven't encountered any situations where I thought to myself "I could really use some extra mouse buttons beyond what I have."

It holds up nice. Haven't had any problems with it.

I have to second the G502 - I just got one after a few months of using one with two side buttons - which I had gotten after using a standard 2 button mouse for years, and even with only about 10 days on it, I love it.

Kensington Expert Mouse Trackball. Has 4 large buttons surrounding a large ball with a scroll ring. The software lets you program actions for chords with the bottom two or top two buttons, giving you 6 possible actions. I find it much easier to just move my fingers for extended turns (like running up/down spiral staircases in towers) compared to picking up and moving the mouse.

Unfortunately, to my knowledge, they're only available on Ebay now.

Yeah, I found I really needed a solid, non-button part of the mouse to anchor my thumb on. The 12-button side didn't give me any place to grip properly without triggering a button, so the wheel design worked perfectly instead.
