That used to be the case for non-primaries but now if you link the house in chat I think they can just visit it using your link regardless if you're inside.1 -

Thank you for clarifying that. I asked somewhere because I assumed that would be how it worked but never got an answer as far as I know.
Hopefully that it a first step to opening up more houses to visit. If there was some way you could have other links inside your primary then players could visit your other houses as well.
