Rewards at the end of Cyrodiil campaign and Balance of 3-sided PvP system in ESO

Commander Karziel, Ultramarines 5th Company

Warm greetings to you, my dear ESO PvP community.

I play on Auriel's Bow campaign on the Aldmeri Dominion side.

Ebonheart Pact is currently leading with a significant margin while Aldmeri Dominion and Daggerfall Covenant falling behind, but going close to each other.
In theory two alliances should unite against third - dominating one, as it is their only chance to win the campaign.

But in practice I often see DC attacking AD while they are being pushed by EP from the other side. I see organized groups of blue players going behind our border with them just for killing players - not for capturing objectives.
I know, it is fun to PvP in the middle of 3-sided mess, but hey... what about victory in campaign? You want to simply hand it over to Ebonheart Pact? That's it?

Is there any information on rewards for being victorious (have most Alliance Score) in the Cyrodiil campaign?
Is it THAT low so players prefer personal profit in terms of AP instead of going towards of victory in the campaign? Also I find it quite hard to evaluate in such LONG run (90 days).

It looks like 3-sided self balancing PvP mechanism just doesn't work as intended. Or maybe the problem is in no-brain "I-don't-care-who-to-attack" logic?
What are your thoughts on this subject, guys?

Remember early access and the first week or so after?

Remember how AD were at full capacity while Daggerfall and Ebonheart were still low?

Remember how you were dominating and laughing about it?

    Aint laughing now are you?

And yes, i'm on Auriel's Bow too.

As for rewards, i'm not sure.

I remember reading somewhere that the tier 3 personal reward is gold (oh, how exciting) and you get something extra based on your position in the leaderboard.

As for who wins ... no idea.

All I know is it pays to AoE farm other players and rack points. You get far more for that than you do for capping objectives .... you get relatively nothing for defending besides what you get for the kills.

PvP needs a bit of an overhaul.

You make a good point. That's the way wars have always been waged - two sides join together, kick the arse of the third and then turn on each other

It's doable, but I'm not sure whether ZES would bother implementing it. As a way of introducing alliances apart from the title of Emperor with his extra skill line, a title of Alliance leader (granted for example to the member of alliance with highest score in the previous campaign) could be introduced with an extra 'Diplomacy' skill line.

Say, two alliances agree on working together then both alliance players would become friendlies, i.e. can't be attacked by each other.

    It's doable but complicated, probably.

We used to do it in DAoC.

You could still attack the side you teamed with you just had to be careful.

Means getting groups of both factions to talk outside of the game.

Replace "AD", "DC" and "EP" with "First Alliance", "Second Alliance" and "Third Alliance". Now, did that bloody-red enrage curtain before the eyes worn off?

These two points may actually be the reason of what happening.

Too much ways for abuse. If it is abusable... well, you know what happens... *flew away in a mist form*

Oh yea it's war and it's not pretty, and there will be betrayal and treachery. I also remember tag teaming a faction in DAoC. War is never fair.

You damn right, but in my case this teaming doesn't happening! Or does in the wrong side!

Yeah, if it's a proper war for domination it should be that way. Treachery, betrayal, knife in the back, poison in your drink... EVE style

AD and DC are also poisons their own drinks by not cooperating.

I'll be honest, i'm on Daggerfall and i've got an irrational hatred for AD.

Disliked them since the first day of early access. t-bagging corpses after a whole 10 man team was wiped out by 200 AD ... oh yeah, AD had a full server while us and Ebonheart were low and your faction showed terrible sportsmanship.

I'd rather see Ebonheart win than help you close the gap.

I don't care if we come in third as long as Ebonheart smush AD.
