What do you think about world events that players can activate that affect the entire game world

something like placing down ritual items, or talking with a series of npcs to activate a world event boss, would be pretty cool.

To be blunt, I don't want to be locked out of any content. Terrible idea imo.

Change the whole world? (Or even part of it)? No thanks. I love the world as it is.

Make the game smaller so regions will be more populated? Why? I play solo most of the time, anyway, as many of us in ESO do.

As far as having more events that people in the servers can do collectively, with everyone contributing a little bit to a larger goal, that is something I like, upon occasion. The game has done it several times — people exploring all the landmarks on a certain regional map, for example, with rewards as each goal was met. But when such events end, nothing in the world has actually changed.

While I do like the sound of world events, and wish for something along these lines, I don't think locking areas away is a good move. Events that players can start sounds a little interesting on paper but I am not too sure how it'd work out in game. I'd just be happy with more world events in general. Perhaps the odd dragon will spawn in other zones and you need to protect/save townspeople while other players kill the dragon, or maybe a cult of vampires take over a delve which requires a big group of players to take it down after X tasks have been done in the zone to find them, with vampires around the zone until the event is done or runs out
