Graphics effects during trailers

So I wanna ask the people here and hopefully someone knows what effects/settings Zenimax have on their gameplay trailers.
Everything looks more round and merged together. Even the camera and movements of everything looks so fluid and less spasmic.

Here is a great comparison from Detliasgamings video at 3:30.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=znXT7_hPX90

You can see where the character is dodge rolling and the mob is casting the fire trail (Looks awesome). The next clip at 3:35 is actual gameplay from a player.
Even if you turn off 60fps in youtube it's still such a difference between the two.
I've been playing since beta and I've always wanted the game to "flow" and look the way it does in the gameplay trailers.

Anyone know what kind of effect does this?

It's not a special effect. It is just a controlled digital environment, with a lot more postprocessing than the normal game client is capable of or will allow. Most likely on their internal test server.

It's the extra gloss that is supposed to attract customers.

Oh okay... It would've been so cool to get the game looking like that combined with Reshade.
    Thanks for the reply mate!

But I wish that the elves in the trailers had elven eyes — TES elves having human eyes looks so weird to me! But otherwise very cool trailer! :)

In my opinion mer in the ESO trailers look much too human in general. Not only the eyes in this case, also the whole face shape.

I don't understand, the video you're showing, at 3:55 what's playing is the CG reveal trailer, not actual gameplay. Do you mean the gameplay at 3:30?

Yeah I think you misread the 3:35 for 3:55 wrong but the 3:30 correct. The gameplay there is so smooth as they always is during trailers, but actual in game never looks/moves the same way.

I've tried adding motionblur through Reshade and it everything moves more fluid but still doesn't look like the trailer gameplays

Companies love advertising things as better looking than they are. I think they actually are making that illegal soon iirc. Gameplay footage HAS to be of actual gameplay.

3:30-3:35 looks like it's being played with a controller, 3:35-3:40 with a mouse and keyboard. Controller camera movement always looks smoother than mouse.

As someone who has had to switch from m+k to primarily controller on PC (due to shoulder issues) I can tell you that using a controller does feel a whole lot smoother than mouse, at the expense of accuracy and responsiveness.

Yeah I've noticed that too when playing with a controller. The character has also a wider movement animation pattern when running diagonal.
But in the video the effects I am talking about is more than just the camera. All the effects and movements of everything just looks better

I don't know I guess I just don't see it then. That's just how the game looks to me when you zoom in close with a more over-the-shoulder perspective. The effects look pretty standard to me too. *shrug

It looks like they might have smoothed it out with some motion blur in video editing. You're right, there's definitely something going on there, and motion blur isn't something you can easily add with reshade either (not at a decent quality anyway).

I did notice that too. Maybe they are adding a motion blur setting for Necrom. Can be useful for covering lower fps but most of the time I find these "like watching a movie or taking a photo" effects (motion blur, chromatic aberration, lens flare etc..) to not be great during gameplay, but only pretty for screenshots or cinematic effect during cut-scenes.

Yeah it has to be a motion blur of some sort. It is ONLY the trailers gameplay that look like this, when you see the devs playing the game on Twitch for example it looks the same as it does on my computer.
    .
To my eyes whatever they are using it makes the game look more anti-aliased and tessellated. Everything blends together so nicely.
