Nightblade Skill Questions

I play as an Orc Nightblade, and am currently level 37. At the moment I'm using dual daggers as my first spec/skillbar, and bow as my second.

My issue is that I just don't know what skills to use, and what to invest skillpoints in. I know that this game uses the holy trinity of tank/healer/dps for group content, so does that mean I should make my character 100% damage based? Or do I need to place self healing/protection skills on my skillbar?

For my bow skillbar, should it consist of just bow skills, or should I have a mixture of bow skills and other skills?

I'm just looking to make a viable PvE build for solo'ing & group content etc, although I don't know what to focus on. I'm mainly invested into Assassination, although I'm not sure if I should be using the stealth skill from the Shadow skill line, as I'm currently not using it. I notice a lot of people suggest using it, although it costs a lot of magicka and I don't really see much benefit from it apart from opening a fight. Once you're in a sustained fight, it becomes sorta useless. Also, it doesn't seem to work when trying to escape from a fight. If I'm nearly dead, and I use it, the enemies just wait until I reappear and they start chasing me again, it doesn't seem to reset fights.

I'd appreciate some help.

Thanks.

I am not a pro player, but so far every NB I have rolled I have taken Stealth. In PvE you can use it to stop a mob from doing a heavy or ultimate attack on you.

When you go into stealth mobs just stop in their tracks. I use a bow, so I open from 'hidden' (just crouched not the stealth skill) and immediately use stealth, the mob will just stand there and then I hit them again. Rinse and repeat.

This is great for weak/groups of enemies, but with bosses it doesn't really help you much :)

I am also having both skill bars for bow, one is more aimed at single target and the other at AoE. Both will also be orientated towards PvP.

EDIT: Also I would take strife from the siphoning tree. I never used to use it, but since taking on my latest NB I found my survivability increase 10-fold, I can know comfortably take on 3-4 mobs, where as before I struggled with 2 and my current build has more points invested in crafting than actual skills and I am only level 9 :)

Who has time? But if we never take time how can we ever have time?

Bows are great for cc. Those pesky melees dont have a chance with the right skills.
having only bowskills with bow is pointless, theres really only two you need. poison arrow and magnumshot, those two alone will wipe the floor with everything (just be weary of surroundings, speaking out of experience here, so you dont ending up shooting yourself of a cliff :D )
heck you dont even need poison arrow per se. Ended up just using ambush and magnumshot; stun, knock, stun, knock, it totally immobilizes anything thats not immune to cc and its great to control groups with some creative targetswitching.
