Please not a Telvanni expansion

As someone who only plays Dark Elf characters, who reveres all things about the Great House Telvanni, and who still mods and updates Morrowind (combat has always sucked, that will never change and doesn't matter): Please, please leave House Telvanni alone. If the awful quests and mishmash disaster of the Telvanni area of the Vvardenfell expansion is any indication, the designers either do not know anything about Telvanni, or they actively dislike them. Please, go do Hammerfell - there's literally nothing there to mess up. Please leave the Telvanni peninsula alone.

Those players who don't know, or don't care, don't need or want further explanation about what I mean. Nor do those who do know, and do care - they know all about what I'm talking about.

I expect this to fall on deaf (or openly hostile) ears, but it needed to be said. RIP Telvanni.

Sorry mate, feeling that pain myself. But same as HI I'd just ignore eso input on theme, we're more lucky having the best elder scrolls game expanding on lore, poor Bretons got a rock for christmas literally. I'd take motives though, hope at least visually it's gonna be more consistent.

I share the sentiment but I'm afraid it's too late. We are going to Necrom, but the zone was called Telvanni Peninsula in the teaser despite not even including the tip of the peninsula lol.

No spellcrafting, but a new class at least. The Arcanist, which looks like a forbidden knowledge warlock type of class. Can't wait to see more.

Nope Hammerfell is coming TES VI and I am sooo happy lol. They can't touch Redguard. :D

I’m glad we finally get another Elven chapter (although I also loved Elsweyr)! There’s been too much focus on mundane humans!

I’m a huge TES III fan too and love the unique look, feel, and lore! I felt that in the ESO Morrowind chapter, Telvanni was portrayed rather cartoony, so I’m hoping there will be more nuance in Necrom!

Last time they touched them, they made Redguards unable to defeat a novice Necromancer... And they turned sword-singing into kind of a joke because "the secret was within you all along and you just had to believe in yourself!" Truly something dedicated martial artists could not do in hundreds of years lol.

Nope, not happy about dunmer. New class may be okay - but I'm going to need to see new character slots too. I don't have any open except on my newest account and I'll want to play one on each account, both PC megaservers.

They showed an image of someone drawing magic from a black book of Hermaeus Mora. So my guess is they are a type of warlock that use magic they learned from forbidden daedric tomes and such.

Well, the good news is that after yet another mini-morrowind expansion (with tiny RP element that kinda promotes passive aggression & slavery on zone chat)... we may have a Wood Elf, Redguard or Argonian zone next year. So it will be defintly worth to wait.

Nostalgia trip would probably continue if eso would deliver so lackluster chapters one after another, so Solstheim and Skingrad exploitation awaits.

Craglorn, the first (and free) DLC, was a Redguard DLC. The Argonian DLC was shared with the Imperials somewhat with the Blackwood DLC. So we're really just missing Bosmer.

Completely agree, sadly it's too late. They're even bringing forward the butchered Aesthetic from 2017. Siiiigh.

You know what that means? One day, we could get another Telvanni DLC. We join or do multiple quests for House Telvanni in:
    1. TESIII
    2. Dragonborn
    3. ESO: Morrowind
    4. ESO: Necrom
And potentially, we could still have ESO: Firewatch (it's catchier than Port Telvannis).

Morrowind has five (5) Great Houses, ZOS. Visiting the mainland is an opportunity to see the two that we have never had the chance to play or learn about in detail. But no, the Stonefalls main quest, revolving around the actions of a single Mer who'll scarcely be remembered in the next era, is enough for both of them.

Even after starting in the Telvanni peninsula, Tamriel Rebuilt had enough restraint and originality to give us something new in TESIII's design, once they went southeast of Vvardenfell.

Telvanni expansion is fine, as long as I can use the Blade of Woe on as many of those stupid haughty slavers as possible.

I feel your pain my dude but on the bright side at least its only the southern half of the Telvanni Peninsula. Leaves alot more room for digging deeper into your favorite house's lore.

Also yeah nah theres no way in hell that ZOS is touching Hammerfell till TES6 is announced because its basically an open secret thats where TES6 will be set. so theyve been doing as minimal as possible with central Hammerfell

I'm wondering what they'll make of the North. And when they'll do that - they can't give us a Dunmer chapter every two years now, after all.

Yeah, but ESO proved that they can do non-nostalgia zones and it ended up being awesome. Like Elsweyr & Murkmire. New zones that we were never been able to visit in previous TES games and it ended up being one of the best zones in the game. Same with Wrothgar. Definitely not a "nostalgia" zone, but it was awesome.

As someone who was pretty miffed about how much ESO overpromised and underdelivered for Bretons last year? Yeah, I am not buying this chapter. Already cancelled ESO+, and haven't bought any Crown packs since.

It's good to see that the Kirkbride lovechild which is literally the most underdeveloped race in all of TES is getting the attention it deserves :)

Now if only they'd give Bretons the same kind of attention, but noooooo...

I doubt we will get an expansive bosmer exclusive chapter if we even get one at all. The base game has covered Valenwood in its entirety with the grahtwood, greenshade and malabal tor zones that take up that entire region. There's no room left on the map to fit another zone in there.

I'd like to be proven wrong on this, but I don't see it happening without a complete map rework.
