Visually Rebranding the Warden away from Morrowind

In light of the new upcoming Arcanist class with Necrom, we now have 2 Morrowind-esque classes. I would like to put forth the suggestion to begin the process of rebranding the Warden to be closer to the Breton Druids or more generic nature in general.

I always found it odd that the Warden used Morrowind creatures as the Dunmer don't have a strong culture of "Druidism" unlike the Bretons or even Argonians do, but we never got a class in High Isle.

So I would just like to suggest to "Bretonizing" or at least widening the Warden visually (Culturally). I'm not suggesting many mechanic changes here, just maybe make the cliff racer a hawk, or one of the Shulk morphs a Dune Ripper for instance, it can still be an armor shredding line, but it would feel less tied to Morrowind.

Other Ideas Include:
One morph of the Bear Ulti to be Two Wolves (Similar to the old Werewolf Packleader wolves), or even a Haj Mota
One morph of the Healing Ulti to be a Spirit Hist Tree
One morph of Fetchflies to be flying Slaughterfish (mostly a joke)

Anyway; post your ideas below on how to change the visual feel of the Warden, or why you think it should stay Morrowind themed

I for one would much rather have a Hist Tree and a Duneripper even if they are mechanically very similar.

The Wardens are worshippers of Y'ffre and defenders of the Green. They are master storytellers whose nature tales become magical reality. Wardens weave spells to cause plants and fungi to grow rapidly. They can also call animals to come to their aid, and wield frost spells to combat their foes. For centuries they've been mostly silent, focused on watching, guiding, and protecting the Green, but the time to rejoin the world of man has come for the Wardens eventually.

They're not dunmer druids, they're storytellers of Y'ffre.

Indeed, which is why I find it weird they decided to start with (and keep) Morrowind creatures specifically for the ability animations when Y'ffre is often associated with Bosmer, but is also worshiped by Altmer and Bretons. I think it would be nice to separate the visual Morrowind association away from a class that was never really Morrowind/Dunmer leaning to begin with.

I would love an ultimate that actually fits with the Morrowind theme instead of a BEAR! :expressionless: How about a kagouti, alit, or nix ox?

It would be awesome if there were options of different nature themes / animations for different regions of Tamriel!

But as it is, Warden is already not fully Morrowind themed but partially. Even the forest ulti looks like trees from somewhere other than Morrowind.

As for Arcanist, that is HM/Apocrypha-themed, which seems fitting for a mage class.

I would agree with that, I guess I personally associate daedra and Dunmer quite frequently myself (could just be a me thing) with the house of troubles and all and their previous worship of the "Good Daedra". So while Arcanist isn't explicitly "Dunmer" I feel a strong link myself.

Whole culture animation sets would be sweet for sure!

Agreed, class is weird...imo, it should've been Morrowind themed class.
Warden theme should be more distinct, it's either Morrowind themed(replace frost theme & bear for smth Dunmerish and no laser beam on netch) or Druid theme(repalce clifracer for raven\hawk\gryphon, shalks for wolf spirits rushing on a foe, netch for raven WITHOUT laser beam)
Could be great if our 'animal' skills upon use also trggered some action from Bear ulti.

No. Rather than messing with a class players like me have been using for years, mess with the new class. Having said that, I'd love more choices for the warden's pet ultimate.

Personalization of the warden ultimate would be pretty sweet, there could be quests for instance that you can complete to call a different kind of companion instead of the bear only. I would welcome that completely, there really needs to be more unlockable things like that in this game, less crown store stuff.
