There Are No Garnets in My World

I have been out of these for a week. I have 7 active chars from level 21 to 8 and not one can come up with a garnet. I have lots of all the other trait gems and they drop regularly. I have 2 main crafters doing Blacksmith, Clothing and Woodwork and we cannot craft anything with the Exploration trait. I have 6 different hirelings feeding these 3 crafts and my Daggerfall DK just went all the way to North Point at level 16 just to see if we could come up with some stuff. Zip, nada, nothing.

✭Wow, I have 4 stacks of 100 of Garnet and since they sell for Zero gold and not worth putting on the auction house, I just destroy them. Try to keep only 2 stacks of 100 of each trait gem as they take up too much space.
Do you break down lots of armor? Every time you break down something that already has the exploration trait, there is a chance to get the gem, also from processing rare resources.0 -
Opioid✭✭✭Put 3 points into the refining skill of whatever crafting profession you have (Blacksmithing, Woodworking, Clothing) as you'll periodically get trait gems from refining raw resources. Also deconstruct every green, blue, purple item with a trait you pick up that isn't an upgrade or you don't want/need to research. You'll end up with plenty of trait gems.0 -
poodlemasterb16_ESO✭✭✭✭✭I have refining skills, quite few mules and a stack of hirelings, just no garnets. I break down everything my 7 chars hoover up unless I can research it. I make all the armor, light medium and heavy and all the weapons both metal and wood that my small army wears and uses.I have dozens of all the other gems.Edited by poodlemasterb16_ESO on May 5, 2014 12:59AM0
