The animations look pretty bad and the visuals are a mixed bag as of the preview… love the green, but it looks very cheap.

It sounds fun, but I need more character slots - the only open ones I have are on my newest account, and I'll want an Arcanist on all three accounts, both PC megaservers. I love alts and leveling!

Not yet exited about the class but I like the theme of the chapter. The standard pre-order mount looks bleh, the deluxe one is tempting though...

When I saw new class, I was like omg yes!!! Then saw what is was….and disappointed really. Don’t think centring a class around a daedric Prince was a good move. It just feels abit….meh. Not been playing for a while and was hoping this would ignite my passion for the game again. Sadly not.

Can you use an existing character and use a class change token for this?
Or is it somehow locked bcuz it's a "new" class.

I have a LVL 30-ish DK that I just haven't gotten a feel for and have been looking to reinvent her.
I really like the look of the new class so far so this could be just the thing.

I didn't want a new class from the beginning, because don't want more of the exact same stuff but in a different colour, I wanted new skills and stuff for my existing characters,

But of all classes I thought they could add this was definitely not it and it feels just as bad as if they added bard.

Why is a class specifically themed around a single daedric prince?! How are we supposed to make varied roleplay with that? Most of the classes a bit too niche for Elder Scrolls in the first place, but this, this is far far worse than any other class.

Ah well, too bad there isn't a way to "reset" a characters profession and stats to LVL 1.
Like keep their appearance, name, etc, just reboot everything else.

I know I can delete\recreate. Rather fond of her look and also I don't want to redo the bloody mount training again. >.<

Arcanist wasn't even a class people asked for, I heard Bard more. The most requested feature is Spell Crafting.

Does it take 6 hours to collect all motifs and style pages or level all skill lines?

Yes, exactly, you can max out all of your mount training, unlock and level your extra Guild and Feature skill lines, find all the lorebooks to level Mages Guild, play through all 8 years of story, find all skyshards to unlock all of the skill points to train all of the extra skill lines you want to have, do all of the assassination/stealing quests necessary to level up DB/TG, and so on. You can do all of that in like 2 days casually playing for 15 minutes a day, so I don't know why people are asking for a class change token.

I'll never understand why people are so entitled and whiny about having to start over from scratch to play through 8 years worth of content that they've already done several times on several characters. Maybe they should just quit and stop giving ESO their money.

No matter your character or role, the Arcanist class unlocks exciting new abilities and creates new ways to play via its three unique skill lines.

If you like to play offense, when wielding the destructive magics of the damage-focused Herald of the Tome skill line, you manipulate arcane energies to bombard your foes with damaging blasts, beams, and more. This includes active abilities such as Runeblades, which launches lethal projectiles at your foes, generating Crux as you do.

Prefer to play a supporting role? With the restorative Curative Runeforms skill line, you can make use of healing runes to keep your party (or yourself) healthy, shield your allies from damage, or even help them navigate the battlefield via portals with the Apocryphal Gate ability, which summons a passage between worlds!

Walk between worlds with the Arcanist

If you like to play defensively and protect your allies, the magic of the Apocryphal Soldier skill line allows you to dominate your foes’ attention, buff yourself or your party’s defensive capabilities, and even conjure an explosive damage shield with Runespite Ward, which can be improved with Crux.

This is, of course, just a taste of the kind of power you can unlock when wielding the Arcanist class, as each skill line features a full suite of potent active, passive, and Ultimate abilities, many of which generate or utilize Crux.
