It's great to be excited for the global reveal tomorrow, I get it, but it's wise and healthy to keep expectations relatively low because disappointment can hit too hard. Let's wait patiently first for what they will offer us and then judge civilly as a good community that we are.

(sorry for my English)

Good post, it's always best to make sure you don't convince yourself something is coming when it might not be.

Your English is actually pretty good so no need to apologize

Yeah, that's definitely something to keep in mind. I keep my own "expectations" very low, because - well.... so far these devs have only made me happy twice in nearly 6 years.

    Not holding breath here.

The whole “global reveal” thing is marketing hype designed to generate excitement and anticipation. It’s designed to “hit hard.” But those of us who’ve been around long enough know that skepticism is the wisest way to approach these things.

It's like natural = stripped from the environment and lab produced = made from various renewable substances. The one that sounds better and the one that is better are 2 different things. So in other words quite often even after regular maintenance there is bugs. So, expect emergency maintenance and several ongoing issues and if I'm wrong then that's good.

I didn't really have a reaction to this. I'm a newer player and still exploring this game.

The one thing I'm hoping for is new character customization and more customization options. Dungeons would be good too.

I think it's fine to talk about what you'd like or what you think ZOS might announce, as long as you don't get too attached to the idea that what players imagine is what will happen.

It might also help to remember that you're not yet committed to this, just because you're playing ESO. If what they're going to be selling doesn't interest you then you can skip buying it and keep playing the parts of the game you've already got, and maybe get it later when it's discounted or bundled with another chapter or whatever.

(I've done almost every variation on that, except waiting until the next chapter. With some I pre-ordered the collectors edition, or bought the normal edition on day 1, with others I waited until it was 50% off before buying.)

At this point I'll only be tuning in out of morbid curiosity. Since I don't do DLC Dungeons I know I'm just going to get screwed over by Q1 changes. And I want to see what this year's parting shot will be, like last year's "oh, and we'll be introducing Account Wide Achievements."

There seems to be some good components this year and a lot that remains to be seen... I'm definitely more excited than I've been over the past two years, but also skeptical.

Remember: if there is a big new mythic coming: it will be nerfed after 3 weeks tops.

Do not buy anything because of a mythic that will gather dust a few weeks into the new "chapter"

The thing that concerns me is the 'highly requested' feature, because it might mean 'highly requested' only in ZOS' biased terms, or might actually be a popular request, but implemented in a weird way, or a way that people will not like (see: AwA). Having said this, I'm cautiously hopeful because I think that ZOS understood this year that making mistake after mistake does have consequences (given how a lot of players took breaks, unsubbed, etc.), and recently they had a meeting with the street team members, which in turn gathered feedback from their communities regarding pain points, and so on, therefore I think they are finally willing to pay attention, so the announcements may be a very pleasant surprise. Like Danikat said above, at the end of the day no one is obligated to engage with content they don't like, and can always get it later on a sale, so it's not the end of the world (well, I say this, but with ZOS you never know ). Only a few hours to go now, so keep calm and /kowtow to the powers that be for having good changes

Another possibility is that it's something frequently requested, done well and ends up being popular with some players but is irrelevant for you as an individual.

For example I know a lot of people have asked for a group finder for trials, but I don't do trials and the process of finding a group isn't what puts me off so that would be irrelevant for me even if it was perfect for the people who want it.

Or they could increase the item limit in houses, split the item limit between areas (like inside/outside the house) and add commonly requested features like alchemy plants which can be harvested or beds you can sleep on to get a minor buff. That would make a lot of people happy but likely be irrelevant to most of the people who have asked for a trial finder.

    Very good reminder OP :)

    I'm indifferent I spose?
New things to do is always nice, but even if they announced nothing, I'll still have things to enjoy.
I've also been avoiding speculative threads\topics, so I have very little clue what the new "big deal" is.
Which also helps avoid any disappointment.

Anticipation of something is often far greater than actually experiencing it.
    "Hype" is self-defeating.

If the last three chapters were anything to go by, I'm still not resubbing or buying it. Greymoor was ok, but Blackwood was awful and I did High Isle in one day on the pts.

Yes. Hype will exceed reality in almost every case where a game studio reveals, announces, or presents a game or game update prior to release. It is their nature. They can't help it.

They do this to get pre-orders and hope that by the time people find out what is really going on, they are desensitized enough to not cancel the pre-order.

Rule #1 for gaming in the 2020's is to never pre-order anything. The pre-order perks are not going to make up for the lack of everything else in the final product.

Interesting enough first time I've witnessed negative reaction on writing was Elsweyr and it was worse and worse each year after looking at community feedback, ingame chats etc. Sure Summerset was questioned a bit also but that's not even near the scale we have today, so people are having a point still.
