Markyn Ring of Majesty does not respect all bookmarked items

My question revolves around the following mystic item: Markyn Ring of Majesty
(1 item) For each set you have at least 3 pieces of, grants you 100 Weapon and Spell Damage and 1157 Armor.

I wear a total of 5 sets on a char with this ring:

1 x mask set (not counted because only a bonus of 2) = ok
1 x set of 5 was counted or considered by the mystic item = ok
1 x willpower (set of 3) on one hand with flame staff, was counted = ok
1 x Potentate (set of 3 from the PvP) wasn't counted (healing staff on the other hand) = here's the problem
1 x the ring (only 1 set is not counted) = ok

Do you also know this error? Is the non-active hand always ignored by this set? Is that a mistake or is it intentional? I would be happy if said item Markyn Ring of Majesty was improved a bit and included all item slots in its rating.

Only one of them can be active depending on which bar you are, never both at the same time.

It's not an error. Items on the back bar are not counted towards markyn if You are on front bar and vice versa. Only active items count. Based on Your setup description You should always have 2x bonus of markyn.

As others have said only the active gear is considered active. This is why if you're going to be doing the split bar thing with a mythic you make sure one of the sets has a buff that can carry over with you to the other bar. Why I have Clever Alchemist as a back bar set since that set's buff lasts 20 seconds and remains even when I'm on the front bar.

I've always hated that stuff must be on the 'active' bar to be considered "slotted" and I really wish this terminology was cleared up in-game because just reading stuff like Incapacitating Strike you think you can benefit from the resource return just by "slotting" it on the backbar but no, it must be on your 'ACTIVE' bar as well. Even after playing for years it can be confusing when building a character because certain bonuses just aren't very clear if they carry over bars or not. I don't think the game even explains this aspect, certainly not for item sets.

I would love to be able to slot certain skills on the backbar for the class passives alone but unfortunately it is too late to change now because everything has been balanced against this mechanic.
