Returning Player, Is there any date on the next PTS Patch and Content Release?

Hello, as a returning player i was waiting until the next update to make or farm gear especially gold gear out cause my mats and money are limited. I was wondering if there is a date the first PTS patch notes will be up and date of the next content update with the changes? Wasnt sure if it was going to be around the event next week or not. Thanks.

The next Chapter reveal will be 3pm EST US on January 25, 2023. I don't know about PTS.

Thanks, just waiting to gold out any gear in case it gets nerfed, only have enough for a pvp and a pve set so dont want to blow all i have on a set and have it nerfed bad. Atleast i know it will last me until the next Chapter once we get an idea on the pts patch notes.

Also, I read in some post or the other that someone thought the Chapter release itself (with a combat patch maybe?) would be in March wrong - that's the DLC!

At least you'll have time to work on getting some more gold!

I'm personally expecting that the PTS for U37 will be live the week of January 30th, as that's in line with what they've done in previous years after the chapter reveal. The chapter PTS (U38) will likely arrive sometime in April.

I am expecting a delay of 2 to 4 weeks on the Chapter this year, compared to last year.

They said the chapter release window is still June, I don't think it'll be over a week delay if there is one. Not sure why there would be.

They are clearly having "issues" and the decisions they have been making up to this point have obviously not extracted them from their problems. Firor mentioned the problems, and the press has elaborated, so I won't go into that, but what ZOS can do is relatively straight forward. To resolve this problem, they can make the chapter smaller, increase what they are spending on it, or increase the amount of time they are developing it. Any combination of those, in sufficient quantity, can help them resolve their problems.

Given the cancellation of the 4Q zone, they can actually increase what they are spending, but there is a point the benefit begins to vanish. They can reduce the size of the chapter, which I do expect has already been done, but there is a "where's the beef" limit to how much they can remove. The easiest change is actually to just change the schedule, allowing themselves more time, and hopefully reducing the need to cut scope more.
