[SUGGESTION] More hair and facial hair styles needed

Please add more hair and in particularly beard styles. This important personalization feature has been strongly neglected in the past years with maybe only one or two additional styles at best.

I for instance would like to see sort of Ronin style hair dress for boys (and girls) and a beard that is more than Poet's Stubble but less that Boar's Nest. More like Jon Snow-like beard style.

Well this is realistic but fails on requirement 2.

If they market this as "Radiant Apex Hair" or make it a rare achievement award, some people would use it...

Not having this hairstyle from TES3:Morrowind is the only reason I have never been able to play an Altmer past level 10. I just can't do it... I miss my ice-cream scoop hair style. *weeps*

Along with that suggestion, please suggest they try them out on a variety of different faces (genders and shapes) before releasing to avoid bugs, so we do not get weird head placements, or white patches .. that secondary one that is still a problem on a recent wig people paid money for!

I agree. They had hair styles that recede more on the above-average receding hairline; bald with topknot, side-burn locks+topknot, etc. In my opinion they had hair styles that really give off samurai or blade-master vibes.

Regarding hairstyles, apart from more variety, it would be nice if they worked better with the headwear, so that your character doesn't become bald whenever wearing something.

A "Raptor Style" feathers for Argonians, going all the way back, along the rear neck, kinda like a horse mane.

    Something like this:

Great thread. <3 Please look favorably on my two suggestions too?

    1. I love the 2 braids from the White River Braids hairstyle, but would most definitely adore One Long Side Braid hairstyle too.

    2. And also, a modified version of the existing Left parted crop, where the hair on the right side has 2 corn rows that hold the hair behind the ear as does the Long Corn Rows hairstyle.

    Many thanks.

Before adding… questionable hairstyles from the ‘80’s, I would rather see more hairstyles already worn by NPCs be made available for both male and female characters. :) Soooo glad that Veya’s hairstyle was finally made available!

i'd love to see some LONG hairstyles. There is one on the women enemies that fight for Nocturnal in the zone quest line, who have really lovely LONG hairstyles that should really be implemented in game.

Even LONG braids and such. Longer than shoulder-length and the stuff they have now. The double braids they have was a small step in the right direction.

And side note: i wish PIERCINGS were not strictly race specific. Anyone should be able to go around with a sharp needle and pierce themselves however they want.

I'd prefer something that actually fits to the graphic style of the game.

Natural looking East Asian inspired hairstyles would be nice and would fit Dunmer lore, though. Something like this:

Definitely, especially more "normal" looking ones. As fun as squid beards and large tripple knot hairdos are, we are quite lacking in more mundane hairstyles and facial hair. When Short Mussed Wave was released I was estatic, because we were and still kinda are lacking in simple hairstyles of various lengths and styles. Worse when we do get one they don't stay in the shop and are limited time.

Same with beards, they are either very unusual styles, weirdly trimmed ones, stubble, or hermit. Where is the normal short full beard?

High Isle also added a bunch of npcs that uses combination of the poet's stubble+some other facial hair, which we of course can't combine.

    X83aN67.png
    xmkIXs5.png

    This one is new
    e1Tct3G.png
What is this thing? Texture and look is kinda awful, but it's also new.
    Vvn8Tkz.png

And when are argonians getting their feather beard?
    CzNVtfS.jpg

Argonians and khajiit, especially argonians, are feeling a bit lacking in their hair and other cosmetics. Like the Draping Locks was horribly done for argonians with a giant "bald" spot.
And where are styles like we saw in singleplayer games, like TES4 had horns and spines decorated with rings, little pieces of hanging fabric decorations etc. The only argonian style we have with styling like that is the Lizard Rhinoceros. We know in lore that argonians love decoration their horns etc. Paints, polishes, metal caps, rings and other jewelry.
Same did khajiit have various decorations in their manes. Beads, tassels, having little fabric covered buns etc

I mean if i had to give sujestions my comment would take 1 hr to read. but id like any of these hairs, at least that come to mind right now.

    33g5j6F.png virgils hair

xLUnXft.png dmc 3 hairs, all of these look good on a fantasy game.

9Kb318b.png raziels type hair from soul reaver. You can even shave it's side and make it look like attack on titans levi ackerman.

I could go on, but there's many modern male hairs like this that would look good. ya know shaved on the sides. Eso hairs bore me so much. My hairs on a V line on the front, yet all eso hairs are all straight line on the front... but that's a minor detail.

I would love to see long hair too (my own is thigh length) but I'm patiently managing expectations. The technology is coming but not quiiiite there for MMO's yet.

I have seen it done well in newer games but often only those with 1) one playable character that has no character creation sliders e.g. Aloy in Horizon Forbidden West and 2) NPC characters such as bosses, enemies and key lore figures. It seems more do-able when devs only have to make one model for a player character, lore figures, and clones of enemy NPC's throughout the game. MMO devs would have to make zillions of player character models, one for every possible combination of cosmetic options and compatible with hundreds of thousands of gear pieces. My guess is that currently takes a very, very, very long time.

I remember popular Skyrim hairstyle mods that added really cartoon-ish long hair options. Yes of course I was desparate enough to use them! :p The hair looked frozen stiff when moving and always clipped with any gear worn on the back e.g. shields, bows/quivers, and 2H weapons. My ESO Nord male has the same clipping problem with the Long-Crested Dreads hairstyle. I really don't want anything like that. I would much rather wait for the tech to improve and become more practical for devs to use. I really think it will be worth it. :)

This "modern" hair fits ESO's "historical" fantasy theme because it's not really modern, but heavily inspired by a historical Japenese one. That topknot- or bun-like thing (not sure what's the correct word for that in English) had the purpose to secure a crown or helmet.

I heard they call this type "man buns" in the West nowadays, probably because "bun" alone doesn't sound manly enough or something...

Yeah, buns has been used all over the world to keep hair away, and shaving parts of your head is not exactly new either.
