I did not vote because this question is a bit strange.
What's the most common answer that you would get if you asked this in the Blizzard forums: Would you play WoW if it was not Warcraft?
I think we'd all be way better off if ESO wasn't Elder Scrolls themed. Then we wouldn't have all these hard core casuals demanding ESO be turned into a vanilla, casual only Elder Scrolls game all the time.
I don't care that's ESO is an Elder Scrolls themed game. It's not Elder Scrolls in the traditional sense, and after thinking about it for a minute, I think we'd all be way better off if ESO wasn't Elder Scrolls themed. Personal opinion here, but I wish they had given it to someone versed in Elder Scrolls. I don't think "Elder Scrolls" really 'clicked' with the early team working on ESO. I always felt like the team that built the foundation for the mechanics and gameplay never really understood what it was they were building. In many ways, ESO is like they were building Dark Age of Camelot 2 MMO with an Elder Scrolls veneer based on TES 4 Oblivion.
So... They built a fantasy MMO that used a lot of Elder Scrolls words, and that is not what the franchise needed. What it needed was an MMO that felt like Elder Scrolls, not just sounded like Elder Scrolls. I don't think the original team knew how to do that. I dunno. Maybe they did and just didn't want to. Wish they had.
