2023 Event Idea: Dibellan Arts & Crafts Fair

First off I wanna say thanks to everyone at ZOS who decided to keep the last couple of months of 2022 full of events. It was hectic but I absolutely loved every minute of it so heres to hoping this idea gets picked up.

I really liked the Zeal of Zenithar event last august since it was a great way to break up the monotony of the dog days of summer and when I heard that 2023 was gonna be Dibella themed, I thought why not have an arts and crafts themed event? Lots of housing people love their paintings and Dibella is the patron goddess of artists so I figure much like how furnishings such as the brain in a jar are available during the Witches Festival, ZOS could do something similar by turning all those great and unused loading screen art into paintings that can be bought with event tickets or found in coffers. At the end of the event, said paintings are released into the general world to be found like any other painting. Its easy, requires little effort, and will make tons of people happy. And if ZOS really wants to go an extra mile you can include things like the golden dibella statue from Skyrim or add the painted troll fat from Oblivion as an alchemy ingredient.

Gimme your two cents if you think its a good idea or not.

I can always go for more furnishings. Maybe even let fan art be used to create in game paintings or statues as long as they are of high enough quality and fit the lore.

it seems like an awesome idea! zeal of zenithar was july though. august had nothing.
so this kind of dibella event could be in august if this year has a similar event schedule.
may also had nothing but that is as far as i know always event free, not sure why.

the loading screen art would be amazing to have as paintings to put in houses.

More, and more aesthetic, furnishings. Yes.

Idk about fan art because of stylistic differences. All paintings seem to have a certain style about them with a texture slapped on top. Maybe if a contest was held but even then that requires more effort on the part of ZOS

There are already differences. At first, there were some that really looked like painted, like this one:
    https://eso-hub.com/en/furniture/painting-of-jungle-sturdy
Some from the crown store even more, btw (I always wondered who made them, they really look like historical romanticist paintings to me):
    https://eso-hub.com/en/furniture/painting-of-tree-refined
Then they started with the "screenshot + effect on top" things:
    https://eso-hub.com/en/furniture/gargoyle-guardians-painting-wood
And lately, ESO+ members got some which were originally loading screen art again:

Im pretty sure the jungle one is a piece of cropped loading screen art and the vampiric one was unused loading screen art for Greymoor given the unnatural lighting compared to the ingame location.

Even then any fan art would have to heavily adhere to these parameters, and choosing which ones to turn into art costs more time and money than just using preexising loading screen art already coded into the game

But why? I can understand that they want to maintain a certain quality, and that some styles would look too modern, but Nirn has many different cultures and realistically, they all would have different painting styles (let alone differences in style between individual artists).

file size vs compression. If you notice, many of the loading art paintings are lower resolution versions of the originals and also half the reason why the painting texture is applied to the image in order to cover this up.

ZOS already has coding issues present and between that, unused spaghetti code, customer complaints with U35/36 and their own project deadlines for the 2023 chapter, having to sift through and code in images outside of their own company format is extra work that they're more than likely going to be apprehensive to do. The reason I proposed using current ingame loading art the way I did is because somewhere between 50-70% of the works is already done for them and company compliant.
