Looks like it has star constellations, some non runic signs. Any idea what does it represent?

What announcement?

Besides that... those signs look like runes. One Hand + Rune weapon or... Spellcrafting. I don't want to imagine the latter, because if it's not it my disappointment yet again will be immeasurable.

Ah, thanks. I was looking on the official website, the forum and even on their Twitter account and found nothing.

We knew it was either January 24 or 31, so good to know the final date for the Chapter announcement now.

Looks like the cp tree to me. Maybe a rework so that cp actually matters after about 1600 cp

Ah, I wasn't sure about either Tuesday or Thursday, because I know I've seen those streams on both. So if the 31st is just the recap, the announcement should take place on January 26?

for the christmas greeting on facebook, the german FB site used the picture of a christmas tree with a vault-boy (Fallout 76 mascot), so I would not interpret too much in these pictures.

Sadly my brain won't give me such reprieve, is already set on this most requested new feature being spellcrafting.

I mean we have only been asking for it for 9 years so it could be something else but... no, brain says 'spellcrafting or bust'.

Without any statement, we must resort to interpreting tea leaves obscure graphics and such.

It was fun to have a teaser/preview, but I guess that was determined to have been a negative because people saw ships and expected seafaring, naval combat, pirates, deep water fishing, and so forth… 🤔 I think negative reactions were related more to how AWA was implemented, a card game added of all things, and then the combat changes of U35…

Anyway, here’s hoping that this year is better!

When I saw this, I thought maybe ZOS is going to reveal whats next via the Xbox Global Event at the end of this month... personally I would prefer the more intimate deep dive we usually get so hopefully that still happens.

Let's hope the image depicts an Oblivion 4 remake and has nothing to do with ESO.

It makes sense though. The DE usually does recaps after the US channel does the reveal, which we'd expect to be somewhere around the end of the month. Also, PTS goes live on Mondays, and if the Q1 PTS goes live on the 30th, that'd put the DLC release on the 13th of March, which is also in-line with what we'd expect (they wouldn't likely go later than that since that would be releasing a DLC at the same time as the Jester's event).

So yeah, it's completely expected that the official reveal would be a few days before that, so the PTS could open on the 30th.

Besides, if we're talking about Elder Scrolls remakes, I want Morrowind first.

Yup, the picture just shows the text of an Elder Scroll. What are the Elder Scrolls known for? They show the future. That's probably the only reason they used that picture for an announcement stream for future content.

I'm wondering whether there isn't a teaser this year because it would be too obvious; volcanic landscape or giant mushrooms hinting on Telvanni Peninsula or a desert for Hammerfell, for instance? Of course they could also just show a building interior, but maybe even then furniture or people could be too telling. I mean, the zones most people are expecting all look quite distinguishable.

If ZOS is not massively changing their announcement philosophy, the stream should be announced the latest this Friday and take place either on January 24 or 26, unless it happens next week, which I doubt. This is based on the previous announcement / reveals:

High Isle: announcement January 5 / reveal January 27
Blackwood: announcement January 13 / reveal January 26
Greymoor: announcement January 9 / reveal January 16
Elsweyr: announcement January 6 / reveal January 15

The big outlier was Summerset, the stream was announced March 19 and the Chapter was revealed March 21. If the Q1 patch has nothing to do with the Chapter, we could have another announcement in February / March though. So nothing set in stone.

@The_Saint Elsweyr stream was on a Tuesday, too. Summerset was a Wednesday.
