Now, Ultimates don't work!

Still using my Xbox Elite 2.
I followed the instructions to fix the 'Y' button....that is good!
But now, I cannot trigger an ultimate. I have to drop the controller and use the keyboard 'R' button.
Usually I die before I can make the switch.
It sucks having to see I have an ultimate, drop the controller, then aim, and hit the 'R' Key.
Pvp - no issues.
Ping is is yellow - not RED...is that the issue?
