- Trial finder, daily trial, trials on vet require less damage than now and can have less mechanics.
- Vet dungs have less mechs
- Pve mode for cyro and imperial city where pvp is disabled and pvp rewards also (Telvar is decreased by a big ammount on pve mode)

Casual for me means, no dungeon, no trials, no pvp. Just your regular rpg and their quest.
Sounds very bland to me, just saying.

I wouldn't. One of the things I've enjoyed about ESO since I started playing it a bit over 2.5 years ago, is that with lots of time and work, I can progress my character to the point where it can handle greater challenges. That means these challenges have to be present.

I don't think I'd quit the game completely but it would lower my playtime substantially. One great thing about ESO is you can be as sweaty as you want to be or don't want to be. There's at least some content for everyone, even if it isn't distributed evenly.

This. Actually at first I thought OP was listing things that already happened. Most of what OP said has, and I play much much less. In fact, I took a year break and came back on a new server and started over to grind again for something else to do lol

Every step in this direction already made me play single player tes games more as they offer way better casual experience by modding while eso for me is way different game for absolutely different needs.

They need to strike a solid balance between the two anyway, as games/features catering to "everyone" with every move often appeal to no one after some time. Both need direct approach here, without leaving the other side in dust.

I would normally have picked no but with the unpopularity of what i prefer over all in game, i have resigned myself to this inevitability. And i will adjust accordingly finding another thing to fill my time, as i started all of this as a timefiller primarily.

I voted no because I definitely don’t want the game turning group content into trivial oneshot point and click adventure. There is already plenty of that. Game should offer some form of progression, motivation to improve, try new things and experiment to succeed.

That being said, the direction of end game pve directly contradicts goals stated by devs. The hm of newest dungeons and trials absolutely brutal, requiring meta bis builds, full group optimization, perfect communication via voice chat, a number of addons to notify of every important mechanic, perfect performance with no lag or bugs (because minus one teammate usually means wipe) and most teams lack at least some of those which usually means no clear. Heck even regular vets require most of those things, which imho shouldn’t be the case.

Making such huge gap in gameplay between casual normal difficulty and unforgiving veteran or hm is why we had reaction for nerfing patches like update 35 that cut off even more people from participating and succeeding in high end content.

I kind of agree that some veteran group content deserves to be toned down a lot. Veteran should mean that a group of random competent players with decent builds and game knowledge should be able to comfortably clear it even without comms or addons for every specific content, mechanics should have clear telegraph and not rely on addons or perfectly timed reflexes to even show them. Hm and trifectas shouldn’t require absolute perfection so only a couple of groups capable of achieving them, leave that to score pushing.

In general, the mentality of making most of the game so easy it doesn’t require any thinking or improvement while pigeonholing the few remaining pieces of hard content into following strict meta, fragile to any sweeping changes and other factors which might not even depends on players (like bugs or performance) why my interest in ESO gradually declined over the years. It’s like there is no middle ground or even attempt to find it and that’s sad.

I would still play, but that doesn't mean I think these are good ideas. I've never had a problem with the number of mechanics in vet dungeons, and trials are supposed to be for those players who are looking for a challenge, neutering them would kill the game. The power creep will eventually make hard content easier anyway, unless Zos decides to nerf everything again. Pve Imperial City sounds good though, as long as the rewards are appropriately toned down.

I'm just going to be honest, I wouldn't, the reality of it is eso already isn't as popular of an MMO as people think it is, making it even more casual than it already is would ruin what is left of the popularity, it would then lose zos money since there is no end gamers left, a huge loss in chapter sales and plus resulting in no reason to add new content, no new content means no new players to replace the ones who left, that also means zos would have no need to keep updating it, it would turn into a game where you could walk freely and practically look at enemy's and they drop dead, which in turn means players that are left would lose interest since crafting wouldn't be needed to upgrade gear and gear farming and overland would be dead, then there's housing, just get the sims at that point. I'm not even going to start on the effects on pvp.

The tdlr of it is absolutely not, the game is easy as it is, practically skyrim on story mode.

Yeah. Pvp in eso has always been lackluster, trials are meh and vet hmm dungeons feel like they make bosses just damage sponges. I would prefer challenge in other areas.

Kind of how I feel. I would still play because I don't do any of these activities anymore anyway. I might even venture into dungeons or trials more if they removed mechanics. Mechanics IMHO are not a fun way at all to increase the challenge of the game. But just removing them wouldn't work. Something would have to replace it. An encounter system that is more varied and unpredictable.
Please stop making requests for game features. ZOS have enough bad ideas as it is!

None of these changes would affect me. I'm already a casual player, I don't do trials or vet dungeons and while I don't mind PvP I don't play it often, so none of this would change how I play or what I do.

Also I've done every PvE activity in Cyrodiil and it's already pretty much pure PvE. There were only a few times I encounted enemy players in delves and even fewer times they attacked me. I once had to claim a town to be able to get past the guards to the quest givers but no other players showed up while I was doing it. Sometimes I'd be chased down by some random in the middle of nowhere and have to respawn but that was very rare.

I don't understand the objections to a trial finder though. How does using a tool to get a random group instead of spamming chat hoping to find enough people make the trial itself easier?

The ideas are not thinked about, just as example PVE cyrodil.

Just lets then think about PVP questing ! How can it work - NPC just give you all for free. Because may be PVP player do not want fight mobs.

If such thing would exist, will you do PVE ?

Since I like casual and "easy" content in games, so I can play for fun and to relax, I wouldn't complain if the difficulty on some thing were reduced, to at least make them soloable - I certainly wouldn't quit if it happened. As for Cyro/IC, I've said many times that there needs to be a PvE version or "pacifist" type mode.

As ZOS has pulled back from producing more challenging content and catering to their veteran player base the player base has declined proportionally. This is no coincidence.

None of the content the OP mentions as the basis for the poll is of the slightest interest to me, therefore changes in that content wouldn't be of any significance to me. It's not like making it more casual/easier would make me any more interested in it. True, I'd be able to go to Cyrodiil and Imperial City without PvP but I doubt there'd be enough of interest to make it worth bothering with, and although I'm not a PvPer these days I don't support the idea of having PvP-free instances of those zones.
