Vet Rank 1 Gear is such a royal pain in the bottom.

1. Got to 50/Vet1 about halfway through Coldharbor.
2. Gear was trashed looking at a 2k+ repair bill on lvl 46 gear.
3. Decide I will just craft another vet1 set cause mats are cheap.
4. Craft 6 trait set + 4 trait set.
5. Upgrade Items
6. Hit up my enchanter for some enchants.
7. WRONG!
8. Find out 'Rera'(Potency runes needed) are rarer than snow in Arizona.
9. Go to apply white vendor runes after grumbling a bit.
10. WRONG!
11. No vet1 enchanter vendor unless you have completed main story.
12. Under leveled enchantments do not apply.
13. Learn that level 50 gear is identical to vet 1 in stats, but 50 is 100000 times easier to get enchanted.
14. Cry a little inside for making vet1 and not 50 gear.
15. Curse random person at ZOS.
16. Get help from guild buy vendor enchants.
17. Have enchants mailed by guildmate.

WHAT A ROYAL PITA!

My daily advise is DO NOT CRAFT VET1 Gear, you are only punishing yourself if you do, trust me!

Not necessarily, you just need a reliable enchanter who knows when and how to get the Rera runes. And it's more a cosmetic thing. Also, the vet glyphs are stronger than the 45-50 glyphs, so it actually does end up being better.

So can we add on to this who sells Vet gear.

Only vet NPC I know of is in Eyevea, the home mage city at end of story. They sell armor. No weapons, that I seen though. Nor do they sell vet enhancements. So for those who know, lets add them to this thread.

Well I can make Vet enchants, even leggy's, so if anyone needs, feel free to send a message ingame to Lady Valkyria

We have this same issue. My armor is better, but attributes are lower because we can't find these runes to save our lives. Looked in Guild Stores with no luck. My wife, who is a chanter, deconstructed a couple dozen glyphs with no luck. Then we went out to harvest some for a couple hours. After finding nothing there, we decided it would probably be faster to just finish the story. We feel your frustration.
Catches-the-Sun - Argonian Templar - Master Smith, Provisioner, Chemist & Tailor
Valaren Arobone - Dunmer Flamewalker - Master Woodworker, Provisioner, Assassin
Kazahad - Khajiiti Arcane Archer - Master Thief
    V'orkten - Redguard Swordmaster
Finnvardr the Frenzied - Werewolf Berzerker

Lower level enchanting runes really need to be able to be applied to higher level gear. The only restriction should be a minimum level of rune for the gear (no maximum).

I actually agree to the OP here, it is a pain cause once you have done and gotten your lvl 50 armor all done and enchanted then you do get to v1 zone all the glyphs that drop don't work for your lvl 50 items but yet the v1 drops are worst than what you made but cost more. They really need to fix this transition to vr zones if they want to cater to the more pve oriented crowd.
I ended up still using all my crafted stuff from lvl 48 because they stayed better compared to V1 items, but it sucks cause the glyphs don't scale despite pricing.

This also applies to vet glyphs too, you have overlap of effects from them but the price scale up despite same benefits.

You guys do know there is a enhancer in Eyevea the mages lost city? And they also sell all V1 armor as well.

Lol you miss the point, we are talking from crafting perspective on how it doesn't scale despite the increase in price / cost on merc
