Hide UI during dialogue option

We used to be able to hide the UI during dialogue to take some nice screenshots, but something changed sometime this year. I have Hide/Show UI keybound, confirmed that hasn't changed. But now when I hide the UI it exits the dialogue. I've tried a couple different addons but none allow the dialogue to stay open but hidden. Has anyone else had this issue and figured out if there is a fix, or am I just stuck having dialogue on my screenshots now?
