The homemaker perk should give double the chance to find furnishing crafting resources.

Prices will never go down.
People forget that for market mechanics to work, there needs to be real competition and actual cost pressure.
Without a Global Auction House there is no real competition for the next sale and the craft bag blows cost pressure completely out of the window.
Neither exist in ESO.
The only solution is ingame vendors selling mats for fixed, low prices.No Effort, No Reward?

The global auction house reduces competition, by making easier for a few players to corner the market on items. One reason, of many, that console markets are healthier than PC is that it's harder to manipulate the market to drive the cost of items up.Edited by spartaxoxo on December 10, 2022 4:59PM4 -

No, a global auction house would make prices even worse. The guild trader system makes it much harder to control the market.2 -

So, the odds of finding a plan is already low to begin with, and when you finally do find a plan, there's a 90% it won't work. Sounds good to me! Loooool.

✭A global auction house would shift the competition from the customer side, as is right now, to the suppliers side, by erasing the access limitation and time pressure of the guild trader system, right now.
That would mean suppliers would actively have to undercut themselves to make a sale at all. That will eventually drive prices down in the long run, depending on the good, its rarity and the general demand for it.
Obviously that can never happen as long as ESOplus offers a craft bag. Infinite storage at no cost just leverages any resemblance of market mechanics.
But to get back on topic....
No amount of additional crafting items from drops or farm runs will have any impact on the prices per piece in my opinion.
The homemaker perk as suggested or another dedicated perk with a similar mechanic will have no influence on guild trader prices.
Think about it. The additional drops would satisfy individual demand, instead of serving as additional supply on the market. Or simply disappear in ones craft bag.

✭✭Regardless of the effect on prices, heartwood and mundane rune drops should increase, and should also drop from surveys. If it helps players farm their own furnishing materials, then it will at least benefit some people. As the system stands now, it benefits no one. Not even ZOS, because I'm certainly NOT more likely to buy crown furnishings - I just won't buy houses at all.2 -

✭✭It needs to be made a passive it has a 10% chance of it working when you find a furniture plan, meaning even if you find a furniture plan it has a 90% chance of not doing anything, there is no way that can be justified as a slot able star.
Bare minimum the chance needs to be scrapped and it needs to give you a second furniture plan whenever you find one.
The extra furniture mats would be nice but would rather they add that to one of the two existing mat gathering stars, don't want to dedicate 3 out of the 4 green tree slots to gathering mats bad enough with 2, they should just combine the current 2 in one with a 100 point cost or make them passives.

✭✭Not sure what it should be, but I agree the current Homemaker perk is nigh on useless.
I'd categorise the whole green tree as a disappointment. Most of the nodes should be passive.Pact Magplar - Max CP (NA XB)2
