A big cheer to you OP, because you stood up and brought a positive story. I really wish this post will become a really long thread about the positive vibes this game gives you.

I too love to log in, do some quests, enjoy the beautifull scenery, listen to the music, decorate my houses, do some dungeons, Do some chit chat with guildies etc.

There are still quite some things to do on my ESO bucket list, like trifecta achievement from dungeons, the 4man arenas, some normal, most veteran trials,...

I do hope there will be some amazing anouncements for the next year, so the general appreciation of this game will again be positive, so this game can thrive once more.

    Fingers crossed!
And so the Elder Scrolls foretold. You will be shy, and I will be bold.

I made this thread to give my feedback which happens to be mostly positive. I am not trying to convince anyone to my way of thinking nor am I discounting anyone's negative feedback. I acknowledged that a lot of end game players are upset about U35, and never said they shouldn't be. But ESO isn't broken and it isn't dying and there are a lot of players who still enjoy this game very much.

Here you say ESO isn’t broken, that is frankly not true. You should say it isn’t broken for you.

I am not trolling in your positive thread. I just think you are minimizing the problems that exist because you do not experience them. Lots of other end-game players do.

ESO is fine for a lot of players so saying it's broken isn't accurate for everyone.

And I am not minimizing any problems. I just believe that all the good things about ESO shouldn't be completely overshadowed by a few poorly received changes and some bugs. There is still a lot to appreciate.

The same can be said in reverse, the game is most certainly broken for a lot of players, so saying the game is fine, isn't accurate for everyone either.

You are minimizing the problems with your comments though.
a few poorly received changes and some bugs
This statement right here is massively downplaying just how bad the U36 bugs and the U35 nerfs were and how much they hurt a large number of players including the vast majority of the casual player base that only saw their already mediocre combat prowess drop to extremely low values to the point it made content that they could complete easily before, impossible for them to complete now.

-U35 was a game wide nerf to the vast majority of the player base, and zos was told as much during week 1 of the PTS where they still had time to fix it or remove the changes entirely and redesign and test them more thoroughly for implementation in a future update.
-U36 is quite honestly, one of the buggiest patches ever released during the game's lifespan, despite being promised as a small update that was supposed to focus on fixing bugs and issues.

Yes, there is a lot to appreciate in this game, the design teams for zones, dungeons and characters have done amazing work, the stories (while feeling lacking for me lately personally, especially Galen, which I finished in 30ish minutes....) have generally been decent, dungeons have been good with some interesting mechanics being tested out and thrown in, and the characters are good as well, but there are a lot of core issues that need addressing (combat, balance, bugs, performance, etc) and the list of problems that need fixing is growing longer and longer with each update that comes out.

Thank you @Aelorin. I really appreciate that others have positive feelings about this game that I love, too.

Your mobile phone's wifi can be broken while you can still call other people and send sms.
If you don't use internet you would never notice it.
Yes your mobile would not be seem broken to you.
But certainly you can't use it to its fullest capacity as it is advertised.
Neither you can sell it to someone without pointing out its defect.

The example is exacly the same as the state of ESO.
You may enjoy the parts where you spend your time with.
But do not belittle the experience of others.
You keep saying "I don't mean to minimize, downplay, belittle.."etc but that's exacly what you are doing.
We don't just have poorly received changes and some bugs.
We have stream of changes that never landed but only exhausted players at least for several years by now.
And we have game breaking bugs on the parts where we used to enjoy just like you enjoy parts of the game you like.
We deal with new bug or bugs every patch which doesn't let us play the parts we want to spend time with for weeks sometimes.
We deal with bugs that keep resurfacing after idk how many years old at this point.

If you were in a situation that goes on for years which you try to catch a stable week or two so you can play and enjoy your time in a game you love you would be frustrated too.

ESO has become my favorite game of all time. I'd say Guild Wars 2 is my second favorite.

When I started playing ESO, it was because after playing nothing but Skyrim for 5 years, I needed something new to feed my Elder Scrolls fix. At this point, I have played nothing but Elder Scrolls games for almost 15 years. Originally, I picked it up with the intention of dropping it like a bad habit but now, ESO has its own unique place in my heart, and I will be playing it for many years to come. Which also means that once Elder Scrolls 6 comes out, I will actually have to figure out how to find the time to play a second game. I don't know if it is my favorite game of all time, but it is at least part of my Elder Scrolls experience which is high praise.

I've never said "I don't mean to minimize, downplay, belittle..." What I said is "And I am not minimizing any problems."

I've acknowledged that some of these changes, such as U35, have had negative effects for some end game players. And I myself was very unhappy with how Account Wide Achievements was implemented. But that's not what this thread is about. I still enjoy this game very much and I wanted to express that.

There are parts of the game that I still enjoy - sometimes. I want to be positive.

    But I can't any more.

Not just when bugs, nerfs, and general incompetence happens to the parts of the game that I enjoy. Significant portions of the player base have good reasons to be mad, in many cases important voices for the promotion of the game, and within the community, and they are leaving. Even when I am not personally affected by these issues, I find it frustrating and unsatisfying.

And so I'm playing ESO with a bitter taste at the moment, even when it works for me.

And yes, it's difficult to post positive feedback that isn't immediately answered by people pointing out issues.
But for that, I see the ball squarely in ZOS' court. If people don't get any kind of response from ZOS even acknowledging the issues they bring up in the ordinary channels (like happened with AWA, and most of U35, and much of U36...), they use all available channels. So when players ask about PvP in ToT streams, that's ZOS' fault.
