ZOS please, Take your time and FIX the game but PROPERLY

Dear ZOS

As seen the last 2 years you won't never listen to your community. Thats not ok and you see that long term players are leaving, the decline of content creators subscription and the ultra poor twitch viewer numbers. But there are still lots of fans that love the game like me and many others.

As you have to admit (or don't but its fact anyway) it is going in a very bad direction with the game since quite a while and especially since U35.
There was not one single patch since then that ran flawless, always problems here and there. Heavy play experience killing bugs that rest for weeks or even longer.

That is all very sad and in my eyes also forcing even more players to lose trust in your DEVs.
I don't want to go here in details what was good and what was bad, you exactly know what the majority of the community wants.

The situation with incomplete patches and game braking updates is now worse than ever and a guar doesn't help at all. No not even a new companion nor this card game.

I guess I have the vast majority of the community standing behind me with the following sentence

Please, take the time that you need to fix the game, BUT DO IT PROPERLY - Forget about the updates and the new content, new animations that no one wants and whatever just focus to make the game work again. Separate PVP and PVE so that you can focus and make easier and better decisions for each. Do what you are promising your loyal community since years and please treat the game as you treat your crown store

And no this is not a knee jerk reaction or something else that you can just mark as hate comment! I love the game and I would like to enjoy it as long as possible.
You said you will focus on hybridisation - still not done, You said we will get a Q&A after U35 - still not done, You said you will do better - still not done and this list would take me too much time to complete.

Why do you not use an ingame survey to reach most players? I guess most of the people would be fine with maybe a bit less content and patches (that actually do not work) for the sake of a long term vision of a working game.

I think it is really time now to get in touch with your community! Please do so before even more people are leaving

Could have been avoided if they pushed the patch to PTS instead of playing amongst themselves.

"As seen the last 2 years you won't never listen to your community."

Many in these forums have shown they do in fact listen and even provided examples of when ZoS listens to player feedback.

"Forget about the updates and the new content, new animations that no one wants and whatever just focus to make the game work again."
The team working on new content is not the same team that works on troubleshooting the game.
and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."

ZOS heard you, but making another guar pet takes time. Wait 2-4 weeks.

    • There's alot of new players
    • There's alot of normal trials
    • I see no problem in CrownStore, so people can spend money
    • Chats very active
    • Block works with no probelm at all in my DD
    • But i miss many HA, in my HA build

I see no problem at all.

Can you link to proof of this statement?

Their advertisements for the "Gameplay Designer" position states that the ability to fix bugs is a requirement for consideration.

"Gameplay designers are a bridge between the technical and arts teams."

Makes sense they would have bug fixing skills.

Also makes very little sense that the people creating new content would be the same people that concentrate on finding and repairing bugs. There is bound to be some overlap and probably there would be a few key team members that see to that overlap and communicate with others.

Thank you for clarifying that the statement of having two separate teams for working on new content and troubleshooting the game is just your opinion.

Bet all the quarters in my swear jar that it is true. You really think the people doing the artwork and the story board are the ones that should be troubleshooting the game?

I don’t have enough information to formulate an opinion, nor would I portray my opinion as fact.

You said there were two separate teams. I simply asked for certification.

I notice you didn't answer my question. And yes you can offer up an opinion. Large projects are most often broken up into teams. Different skill sets involved in creating content, maintaining the game and troubleshooting the game.

Back to my original point. Halting production isn't going to fix the game. In fact if we go by the sentiment here in the forums (I know, small representation of player population) halting new content would be cause for mass exodus.

The original post calls for fixing the game but also wants less patches. Those patches most of the time are attempts to fix the game. You probably saw how the forums exploded when it was announced there would be no hot fix for the block issue. Regular patches help maintain the game and are required to implement possible fixes.

The development gang can work on development of new content unhindered, it just shouldn' be implemented until the core services are adequately untangled and a decent chunk of the backlog dealt with. They are adding bricks onto quicksand.

I agree, they need to make more time testing and bug fixing. Pushing broken content and then taking weeeks/months to fix isn't helping anyone.
