Playstation is still fun to me? I don't see why moving from one console to another would be the move. If you're not gonna switch to PC to get add-ons, I can't imagine there's much point in switching.

    Seems pretty busy to me.

I had a friend play ESO on Xbox a while back and even then she said there weren’t as many players there as on PS.

I'm asking if the population is still there. I've played a couple nights and it seems awful low.. places that were packed with people are empty. I'm hoping that's because it's a weeknight but I remember those places being packed on weeknights too

Maybe I'm just remembering it wrongly about weeknights but yeah it's awful quiet

A lot of people have moved to final fantasy or other games. The endgame scene is largely the same handful of people. I've no clue about pvp things.

I also play on ps5 and the open world is dead besides the new zone. Craglorn is also pretty much dead. The only way to go for group content is to join a decent guild unless you want to wait 1hour + in the queue or play tank.

I passed through Craglorn the other day, doing a companion quest, and there were lots of people in Belkarth. Chat was busy with people looking to group.

Last night I was doing HI dailies and there was a big crowd on the vent,

The last event had so many players in Western Skyrim, people were complaining about it.

I do my crafting in Vivec and there are still lots of people there.

Out in the wild, it gets a bit thinned out. Alik'r dolmen groups still look busy, but this week I've had a daily dolmen in bangkorai and M-Tor but I was the only person there running them.

Can't tell you about daily Q because I tend to run them with my guild. (ps4EU btw)

I play on xbox, EU and NA, and these are my impressions that might explain your observation.

1.) this year was packed with events. So many, that meanwhile in between events many people seem to take a break or just login for daily writs/endeavours.

2.) A year ago there still were many more players because of COVID. Since the restrictions were lifted, they returned to outdoor activities.

3.) there were some quite drastic changes lately in Update 35, that caused a lot of protest from players. It forced many players to completely respec their characters, or even drop them (like templars that have new animations).

4.) fatigue by not adressing issues mentioned before (like the bad droprates for good stuff for the zone dailies of new chapters since 3 years).

For me, 3.) and 4.) caused me to take a break now, I play Fallout 76 instead, 95%, ESO 5% of the time.

A switch to xbox would likely not help you, especially EU is very low populated, only NA still is busy, though it feels like it got less, too (by the above effects, during Events it still is overcrowded). But this is just a subjective impression. Maybe on PS a switch to the other server might help you already.

It is the same as ever. In the day times and shortly after work/school people are in the newest zones doing dailies and doing pledges. Evening times craglorn is packed with trial pugs.

"issue" now is that there are so much more zones that the playerbase is spread out. Some zones are near dead, like murkmire, some zones are kicking with certain players, alikir and auridon for dolmen grinders, stonefalls for duelers for example.
3 main alliance cities are still trading hubs.

One major issue the game has now is people are less friendly and are trying to extort people, especially trial players trying to cheat people out of money for carries instead of helping the community to get better at the content.

The old zones are always vacant unless there is an event going on there. Players are in the new zones.

The game map is too large to have all zones filled all the time.
