You find yourself in Tamriel. Looking back at the heroes (player character) in the Elder Scrolls series, from Arena to Skyrim to ESO, who would you want fighting at your side when faced with a powerful foe?

But aren't we the Vestige in this scenario?

But aren't we the Vestige in this scenario?

I actually intended it to be just a broad question. I added a clarifying phrase to the description.

I didn't do TES I and TES II so I can't comment on them but, my Morrowind character had a far high success rate at keeping people alive as I was far more cautious due to my character's weakness.

The Vestige and the Dragonborn have more raw power but, the power makes them more of a threat when it comes to friendly fire and leads to them being less cautious which could easily lead to my death.

Sure the Last Dragonborn can shout, is probably a werewolf/vampire lord, and is at the power level of a Daedric Prince but.... the Vestige literally cannot die.

I can keep on running while whatever is trying to kill me constantly has to deal with an immortal undying foe!

of course, we need someone weak. No one should contribute too much to the victory, all the laurels should go to the player. And I'm already sick of superheroes and supervillains. I hope in the next addition we will fight something small, not a great threat, preferably bureaucrats.

Maybe I'm confused by the question, but - Since we are the Vestige, then I would say the Last Dragonborn from Skyrim.

The Dragonborn can teach me to Shout and then we can tag-team whatever-it-is. If I have prep time beforehand, I’ll print out/memorize all the Shouts in ESO to share in exchange.

I could fly over landscape with The Nerevarine. Preferable somewhere far from Cliff Racers.
    PvP - Recruit.
    PvE - Dragon food
RPG - A guy who thought, that he can defeat daedric prince, yet guards still chase him off when he accidentally touches some object during daily writs.

If I am near any sort of incline, it'll take a single shout to send the enemy, me, half my house, a schoolbus full of chickens, and half the gdp of whiterun careening down to our doom.

    I pick that one.

The Hero of Kvatch as the next iteration of Sheogorath. Who cares who wins or loses as long as it's fun.

That sounds like a situation which calls for madness, especially since generally speaking I'm either carrying the group or getting bombed by a fakeout in PvP. Sufficed to say regardless of what people do or the situation madness will be with you forever.

I don't remember TES1 and 2 enough to consider the hero in those games. I would want the Hero of Kvatch, who not only saved Tamriel, but went to Oblivion and back multiple times and lived to tell the tale. With me by her side, she could face anything (I'd just be there for moral support, probably).

The vestige has one of the most impressive kill or banish lists in all of the es games. It wouldn't surprise me if the twist ending of ESO many years in the future is that turns out the vestige is actually a god, and the reason nobody remembers any of this in later games is because the vestige doesn't want to be remembered.

I'd want the dragon born. Homie can hook me up with some restoration/alchemy loop weapons and armor. Your weapon now does 13 billion flame damage. I could be an actual spaghetti person and solo vdsr hm. So yeah hook me up wid the Skyrim homie.

Just keep casting banish of the Vestige. They have to keep coming back from coldharbour everytime

In all seriousness the Vestige should be able to fully die after the main story, once you're soul is bad you become mortal.

The dragonbone, just won't die. Good luck killing lore wise power dragonborn

I am surprised more do not choose the Hero of Kvatch as with the Shivering Isles expansion, the Hero mantles the Madgod becoming Sheo himself.

The Vestige is not really a daedra and can't be banished like one, they are also bound to Nirn, not Coldharbour. When the Vestige die they reform on Nirn, not Coldharbour.
In all seriousness the Vestige should be able to fully die after the main story, once you're soul is bad you become mortal.
We actually don't have anything that really confirms that and more things that suggest the Vestige will stay more or less the same even with their soul back. This is suggested even more with the newer tutorials and such with how even without going through the whole Coldharbour ordeal the Vestige is still considered special and chosen by Nirn to be some form of champion.
The dragonbone, just won't die. Good luck killing lore wise power dragonborn

Meanwhile, the Dragonborn definitely can die. Even with their powers they are still a mortal and can be killed like one. When they die, they die. The end.

While the other ones, I believe, are generally smarter/have more prowess… I’m still going with TLDB because Thu’ums are scary and it’s not like you can blade of woe a boss. Besides, maybe my guess is wrong and I’m just being prejudiced against Nords…

The real question is how far you took your character in each game. There really was no cap on damage dealt in TES 3, so I’d want the Nerevarine as a companion. But I would want to be TES 4’s CoC with 100% reflects and full chameleon.
